The forged aluminum wheel rims have been specifically designed for this motorbike and feature the same style as those of the Revuelto, while the tail piece and wings have been reworked by Ducati's designers following the lines of the super sports car from Sant’Agata Bolognese.

As further proof of the attention to every single detail in this collaboration between the two brands, the bodywork and remaining components such as the heat shield, heel guard, and front and rear mudguards are entirely in carbon fibre, using the same weave featured in Lamborghini’s super sports cars. On the bike’s symmetry line, where the weave intersects, the typical herringbone design is found, the result of artisanal work of the highest precision.

The bike is equipped with an approved Akrapovič titanium silencer with carbon end caps, which together with a dedicated calibration for the engine, bring the maximum power of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini to 218.5 horsepower.

The high number of carbon fiber components, combined with the silencer, bring the weight of the bike down to 408 lbs, almost 4.4 lbs less than the Panigale V4 S, with a power-to-weight ratio that thus goes from 1.15 to 1.18 HP/lb.

The Panigale V4 Lamborghini is the most powerful and lightest of the family.

The specifications of the Panigale V4 Lamborghini are rounded off by the dry clutch and adjustable footrests, brake and clutch levers, and counterweights made from billet aluminum. When it comes to the presence of a road vehicle, size plays a large part, and they don’t come much larger than the new 2025 Nissan Armada PRO-4X. 17.5 feet long, almost 7 feet wide, and over 6.5 feet tall, the allnew Armada is a massive, 3-row, 8-seat full-size SUV. The curb weight of this generation tops out at just over 6,000 pounds, similar to an extended length Cadillac Escalade. With a torquey twin-turbo V6 and 9-speed auto trans, the Armada feels much smaller and easier to place in traffic than the size of the vehicle would suggest, even with the off-road-focused PRO-4X trim package, the quick acceleration and well-mannered handling would make even the most nervous of drivers confident behind the wheel.

Our press vehicle was finished in Two-Tone Alpine Metallic & Super Black Trim, providing handsome looks and an intriguing color combination that most modern luxury SUVs have adopted. No longer are full-size SUVs released in only black, white, and a few shades of silver. Buyers can still choose the more traditional color options for their Armada, but Nissan has also provided a unique variety of colors as well, such as Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, Alpine Metallic, Coulis Red Pearl and a number of two-tone color schemes. Special to the PRO-4X trim level, small orange accents can be found both on the inside and outside of the vehicle. DBX S continues a long tradition of Aston Martin’s utilising the ‘S’ suffix to denote a special, high-performance version of an existing model; the first being Vanquish S which made its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2004. DBX S proves that lighter variants with more power and performance are still very much part of Aston Martin’s core production offering and looks to continue a lineage of notable high performing models.

At the heart of the new DBX S lies an upgraded version of the acclaimed Aston Martin 4.0-Litre Twin-Turbo V8 powerhouse. By using turbo technology transferred directly from the upcoming Valhalla supercar including its larger compressor wheel diameters and other internal improvements, power is raised by a further 19.7 hp to 717 hp and provides even greater urgency at the very top of the rev range, making DBX S’s performance even more memorable. The result is a 0-62 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and reduction in acceleration time from 0-124 mph of 0.3 seconds. Top speed remains unchanged at an impressive 193 mph.

Further enhancing both performance and its perception is a modified exhaust system amplifying even more character to the natural voice of the thunderous V8 engine and exploiting the full the opportunity presented by the engine’s turbo enhancements.

Highline Autos As with its DBX707 stablemate, DBX S distributes its power between the front and rear wheels in variable proportion – including an ability to send 50 per cent of its torque to the front and up to 100 per cent of its torque to the rear wheels alone – through an innovative 9-speed ‘wet clutch’ transmission, which removes the need for a conventional torque converter, delivering extreme performance on launch from standstill. However, the DBX S gearbox has been further modified to provide an even more memorable driving experience. Change up points are adjusted to reflect the car’s extended rev range, while downshifts in Sport and Sport + modes when the car is in automatic are even more aggressive.

In addition to the power upgrade, a number of measures have been taken not only to significantly reduce the curb weight of DBX S, but to do so in an intelligent and highly selective fashion that ensures that mere weight loss is just one of attributes resulting from these actions. A prime example is the new optional carbon fiber roof presented in a glorious single weave pattern which is by far the largest such carbon element ever fitted to an Aston Martin.

Specification of the carbon roof sees the removal of the roof rails, and as a combination not only saves 40 lbs of mass, but does so from the very highest point of the car, reducing its center of gravity and therefore enhancing both stability and agility further.

Magnesium wheels are also now available as an option for the first time on any car in the SUV segment. Magnesium is not only robust, but an incredibly lightweight material, some 75 per cent lighter than steel; half the weight of titanium and a third less even than aluminum. In selecting this 23” optional wheel, a further 42 lbs of unsprung mass is saved, delivering improvements in ride quality, steering precision and feel, as well the car’s more immediate reaction to direction input. DBX S is also available to order with 23” forged aluminum wheels as standard.

Specifying the magnesium wheels also sees the deletion of roof rails, offering a further weight savings. Additionally, customers can also specify a bespoke a lightweight polycarbonate honeycomb grille, intricately designed with over 25,000 individual facets which all helps shift the weight distribution rearward, aiding both handling and the car’s traction capabilities.

Steering ratio on DBX S is also faster by only 4% but noticeably improves agility making the car feel even more sporting and responsive while stopping well short of introducing any sense of nervousness into its handling. It also reduces the turning circle by almost 1.6 feet to just 39 feet, improving the urban driving experience.

DBX S benefits from the full suite of suspension enhancements introduced last year, which saw a revised calibration of both the air springs and electronic dampers, increasing transient body control in order to reduce weight transference and therefore improve primary ride quality and overall stability. Even right at the limit, its standard electronic roll control means the DBX S rolls by no more 1.5 degrees; enough to create the natural feel of the car cornering but still keeping the car flatter than many purpose built, two seat sports cars. The spring rate also changes depending upon selected drive mode, actively moving the roll stiffness balance through a corner to enhance grip and steering response. Near inexhaustible braking performance is provided by mighty carbon ceramic disc brakes at each corner, measuring no less than 420mm at the front and 390mm at the back.

Visually, the Aston Martin design team have ensured that no one who sees DBX S will be left in any doubt they’re looking at the most sporting, dynamically capable and enthralling ultra-luxury SUV on the market.

From the front, the new DBX S is instantly recognizable by its pure black veined grille, giving this edition immediate road presence, whilst the lightweight polycarbonate grille with a honeycomb design taking cues from DBS 770 Ultimate, is also available to specify as an option. A new splitter and diffuser further enhance the car’s naturally assertive presence alongside the distinctive wraparound daytime running light design.

Seen from the side, new sills boast highly distinctive up-turned air splitters which in typical Aston Martin fashion exist for function as much as form, helping channel and direct the airflow along the side of the car. Carbon fiber is available to specify for the wing mirrors, side strakes and lower door sill, while distinctive ‘S’ signature badging on the front fenders marks the true nature of this beast. Like the iconic Aston Martin wings, these badges are manufactured in solid metal, glass enameled with the ‘S ‘infilled in red as it appeared on previous models such as the V12 Vantage S and the Rapide S. The badge surround is then chrome plated in either the bright or dark chrome to match the color of the wings chosen by the customer.

Hidden Drawers and Magnetised Pieces The Chess Set was designed to capture a sense of movement: the leather-clad base rises gently from the centre, referencing the waft lines of the marque’s motor cars as it appears to float on its narrow footprint.

The playing board opens in a smooth, single theatrical motion to reveal a leather-lined holder that slowly elevates, presenting the magnetically held pieces – a movement reminiscent of the coach doors opening on a Rolls-Royce motor car. For an effortless experience, magnets hidden beneath the playing surface ensure the pieces remain perfectly aligned during play, lending each move a sense of precision and decisiveness. The design team experimented with six different types of magnets to identify the optimal strength that secures the pieces yet allows them to float effortlessly across the board. A discreet drawer on each side of the board, opened with a light touch, contains an additional queen to take the place of a piece that has been promoted during the game.

Both the generously sized board and the chess piece holder are framed with polished aluminium edges.

A polished aluminium Spirit of Ecstasy emblem is discreetly affixed to the front and back of the Chess Set, signifying its provenance.

Each set is meticulously crafted by hand. The aluminium grid of the board is machine milled, then further refined by hand to achieve the precise definition of the corners – a delicate process, as the fine metal bends easily. The veneer squares are laser cut and then precisely placed on the board by hand. Each of the veneer pieces is crafted from the same log to achieve a consistent pattern in the natural grain, ensuring the wood will age uniformly over the years.

The Chess Pieces: Monolithic Forms Every chess piece has been precision-crafted with faceted surfaces, transforming them into sculptural objects in their own right. To create the pieces, the marque’s designers studied the profile of traditional chess pieces, electing to extrude them downward into square bases. Each of the highly sculptural pieces is made of ceramic-coated aluminium, contains a hidden magnet and is crowned with a jewel-like polished stainless-steel head. The weight, solidity and cool-to-the-touch tactility of them are deliberately evocative of the solid-metal organ stops found in Rolls-Royce motor cars — a shared expression of material authenticity and satisfying mechanical engagement. The black chess pieces are given a satin finish, while the white pieces feature a subtle iridescent treatment.

Exquisite Materials From the Rolls-Royce Palette The Rolls-Royce Chess Set incorporates the same materials used to craft the interior of the marque’s motor cars. The playing board is available in a choice of four veneer combinations, each arranged to create a diamond pattern when viewed from above. Around the playing surface, a longitudinal grain is used. Highgloss finishes include Blackwood with Ceramic White and Macassar Ebony with Royal Walnut; Open Pore veneer treatments in Smoked Eucalyptus with Paldao and Obsidian Ayous with Blackwood are also available.

Elements of the Chess Set can be individualised to reflect the client’s personal style and the aesthetics of their home.
