Bonhams|Cars is set to present an extraordinary assortment of 115 lots, 24 contemporary vehicles, at The Quail Auction during Monterey Car Week on Friday, August 15. The Future Classics Collection, appraised at over $30 million, showcases some of the most exclusive and highly coveted vehicles of the modern age, featuring prestigious brands such as Bugatti, Pagani, Apollo, and Koenigsegg. This collection includes limited-edition, low-mileage hypercars, many of which are being offered to the public for the first time. All items in this collection will be sold without reserve, offering a unique opportunity for collectors to obtain these automotive masterpieces.
A prominent lot in the collection and the highlight of the sale features the impressive and contemporary 2020 Bugatti Divo. With an estimated value of $7,000,000 – $9,000,000, and offered without reserve, this Divo is the first of its kind to be presented at a public auction. It exemplifies a rare and concentrated representation of modern hypercar engineering, having traveled fewer than 800 miles since new. The 2020 Bugatti Divo was also one of the highlights of the recent exhibition 'Hypercars: The Allure of the Extreme' at the Petersen Museum, which showcased one of the ultimate interpretations of the term 'hypercar'. In addition to the Divo, two other Bugatti models will be available in the sale, including the 2021 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, estimated at $3,750,000 – $4,250,000, without reserve, and the 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport, estimated at $3,500,000 – $4,500,000, also without reserve.
In addition to the Bugattis, a remarkable highlight of the collection is the 2017 Pagani Huayra Roadster. With slightly over 800 miles on the odometer and valued between
$3,200,000 and $3,600,000, without reserve, this hypercar stands out as one of the most exclusive of its time – it is also a significant piece of Pagani's legacy. Personally chosen by Horacio Pagani to showcase the brand at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, this hypercar acted as the factory's official show car, rendering it one of the most visually and technically significant examples of the Huayra Roadster ever manufactured. The collection further includes another Pagani: a 2022 Huayra R, valued between $2,800,000 and $3,400,000, without reserve.
Culminating the significant highlights of the collection is the 2022 Apollo Intensa Emozione "Ocean Dragon." With merely ten units manufactured globally – and only four available in the U.S. – this Apollo ranks among the most exclusive hypercars of its category and is the inaugural Apollo to be publicly auctioned, with an estimated value ranging from $2,500,000 to $3,500,000, without reserve.

For 16 consecutive years, Mecum Auctions has been shaking up the famed Monterey Car Week with its exceptionally diverse, exciting and welcoming auction on Del Monte Golf Course at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa in Monterey, California. Running from Aug. 14-16, the 2025 auction will once again present a vast and encompassing selection of automobiles in a sprawling car-show format spread across the manicured greens of the golf course, while all 600 vehicles and 100 vintage and antique motorcycles take turns sauntering down the signature Mecum red carpet in a thrilling battle for bids.
Two exceptionally rare and beautifully restored racing motorcycles from the 1920s will be offered at this year’s auction, both presented by the respected Fred Lange Restorations. One of the pair is a stunning 1928 HarleyDavidson Hillclimber, and the other is a 1924 Harley-Davidson Board Track Racer, each meticulously returned to nearly original condition.
Several significant prewar automobiles will also cross the block. A 1930 Packard 745 Deluxe Eight built in the final year before Packard altered its legendary long-hood proportions. The body was crafted by Ray Dietrich, one of the most important figures in American coachbuilding. The car was featured at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and pictured on the cover of the Raymond Dietrich biography the same year. Also a 1936 Dodge D2 Business Coup, while most of these modest coupes were used up and forgotten decades ago, this one stands apart for its remarkable preservation and its 2011 AACA National First Prize distinction—a benchmark of collector-grade authenticity,
thoughtfully documented with a photo of the original medallion, which will remain with its current proprietor.

The flagship of Pebble Beach Automotive Week and the world’s premier celebration of the automobile, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance holds its 74th event Sunday, August 17, on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links.
This year Pebble Beach will showcase a broad array of automobiles, features include 75 Years of Formula 1 Racing, 60 Years of Performance for the Shelby Cobra 427, and BMW Art Cars Past and Present. Also celebrated will be the centennials of Chrysler, Invicta, Moretti and the RollsRoyce Phantom.
75 Years of Formula 1 Racing, in 1976, Niki Lauda and the Ferrari 312 T2 reshaped what it meant to be a champion. “Ferrari is synonymous with Formula 1, being the only manufacturer to have contested all 75 F1 seasons and winning 15 titles in the process,” said Miles Morris, a Concours Selection Committee member. “Perhaps their most memorable season was in 1976, with Austrian Niki Lauda racing the sublime Ferrari 312 T2, an example of which we will have on the Pebble Beach Concours lawn as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of F1.” Chassis 026 will be on the Pebble Beach Concours competition field along with more than 30 other race cars tracing the full history of Formula 1, from its origins in Grand Prix racing through to the present day.
One of the most formidable vehicles of its time, the Shelby Cobra 427, celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year. Named after the 427-cubic-inch Ford engine that enabled it to excel in SCCA racing and establish a performance standard that persisted for years, the "big block Cobra" attained legendary status from the moment it was launched. Four versions of the 427 Cobra were produced and will be showcased — “Comp” (competition), S/C (semi-competition), Street and
Narrow Hip — in addition to the first production and last production Cobras.
For fifty years, BMW Art Cars have served as a creative platform for distinguished artists worldwide to convey their artistic vision on a vehicle. At the 74th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, both art enthusiasts and motorsport aficionados will have the opportunity to witness a unique exhibition of two remarkable pieces from BMW’s illustrious collection. artist Julie Mehretu will be presented in North America, alongside BMW Art Car No. 4 by legendary pop art icon Andy Warhol.
The event begins with the 1,500-mile Pebble Beach Motoring Classic, August 4 through 13, from Seattle, Washington, to Pebble Beach. And, the Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance presented by Rolex is a scenic drive for 150-plus Concours participants on Highway One from the 17-Mile Drive to Big Sur and back, August 14, starting at 7 a.m. and concluding at noon.
And, the 19th Pebble Beach RetroAuto and the Pebble Beach Classic Car Forum will be held in Concours Village at Pebble Beach, August 14–16, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Concours Sunday, August 17, 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
On Sunday, judging begins at 8:30 a.m., the field officially opens at 10:30 a.m. and the awards are presented 1:30–5 p.m. Approximately 200 classic automobiles cars will be judged in 29 classes, in which award-winners will be chosen, culminating with Best of Show.

These two events are held with the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which culminates a week of activities on Sunday, August 17, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. RetroAuto hosts a highly curated selection of auto parts, collectibles, automotive posters, art and literature and automobilia as well as luxury goods and technological tools and official Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance merchandise. The nonticketed event also features a selected group of exhibitors. Proceeds benefit local charities.
The second event, the Pebble Beach Classic Car Forum presented by Alliant Private Client, invites car designers, racing greats and automotive-industry figures to discuss trends and other topics as well as the challenges and joys of car collecting.

The Motorsports Reunion celebrates 51 years of historic racing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, August 13–16, following a spectacular 2024 Rolex Reunion where 50 years of historic racing at Laguna Seca was showcased
The 2025 Rolex Reunion is set to offer thrilling new experiences. It will feature 13 race groups, encompassing Grand Prix legends from 1922 to 1955, as well as more contemporary vehicles such as IMSA prototypes from 1991 to 2011, guaranteeing that every race caters to the interests of all motorsport fans.
The highlighted event commemorates the 75th Anniversary of Formula 1, recognized as the most esteemed racing series globally. Attendees can look forward to exhilarating on-track experiences, including races in the Mario Andretti class, the Phil Hill Cup exhibition that features F1 cars from various eras, and a remarkable anniversary display that is being organized to highlight some of the most iconic F1 cars throughout history.
This year, the Rolex Reunion features a unique collection of original IROC (International Race of Champions) series vehicles, many of which are being driven by former IROC participants from NASCAR, Formula 1, IMSA, INDYCAR, and Trans-Am. Anyone who doubts the adage “good things come in small packages” might experience a change of heart after taking in The Little Car Show in downtown Pacific Grove on the Wednesday afternoon of Car Week. More than 100 of the world’s smallest vehicles will be staged Aug. 14 on Lighthouse Avenue during this 15th annual production of the event.
As always, admission is free to spectators, and owners of the cars will be on hand to answer questions (and brag) about their pride and joy. The show has become one of Car Week’s most popular attractions, featuring vehicles with engines no larger than 1.8 liters (110 cubic inches.) Also, to be eligible for displaying, cars must be at least 25 years old - some entries date back to before the first World War.
This year’s Little Car Show is dedicated to the cars of Great Britain. A broad field of examples of Britain’s very significant contribution to automotive development will be on hand for spectators to take in. But aside from the Brits, as usual the show will include smallish vehicles from around the globe. A special “Mini Corral” will house a wide range of England’s famed Austin/Morris Mini vehicles.
Viewers can expect to see cars, trucks and vans in all stages of condition parked on Pacific Grove’s main street.
Some will be project cars, others all original, while some will have had careful and correct restoration. Judging will take place, but the event’s coordinators emphasize that the event is staged for fun, not trophies.
Spectators are also invited to witness The Little Car Show entries parade around Pacific Grove’s world-famous shoreline, from the Lighthouse Avenue show area to Asilomar Boulevard at 17 Mile Drive. The parade follows the Lighthouse Avenue show, at about 5 p.m.
Although the event is free of charge to viewers, entrants pay a fee to show their cars. Additionally, posters and T-shirts commemorating the show will be available for purchase. All proceeds from entry fees and keepsake souvenirs will be donated to local charities. The Little Car Show is a production of Marina Motorsports, a California 501(C)(3) corporation. A fresh chapter is revving up at APEX Motor Club, Arizona’s premier private motorsports destination. Earlier this spring, Phoenix-based family office RJT Capital assumed sole club ownership through its Private Motorsports Group LLC affiliate.
With a bold $30 million investment now underway, the move marks a transformative moment in APEX’s evolution. It accelerates its long-term vision and elevates every aspect of the member experience.
Led by John Hensler and Chad Meyer, RJT Capital has been a longstanding supporter of APEX since its inception. Now, with full ownership, the firm is steering the club into a new era. “This infusion pushes RJT’s total infrastructure investment over $50 million and allows us to advance key projects that had been on hold due to capital constraints,” said Chad Meyer, Apex’s CEO. “We’re now positioned to fast-track the longanticipated clubhouse, a dedicated skid pad, an improved entry experience, and the continued buildout of our commercial campus.”
Meyer noted that while APEX’s founders laid a strong foundation, RJT’s involvement brings the scale and resources needed to realize the club’s full potential, starting with major milestones this fall.
Construction will begin later this year on the centerpiece of the new phase: a premium clubhouse slated for completion in 2026. Positioned with sweeping views of both tracks, it will become the social and operational heart of the APEX community.
The expansion also includes 48 private garage condominiums—doubling the club’s existing inventory— alongside a new 5-plus acre skid pad and refined member arrival experience. “We’re not just growing; we’re scaling with purpose,” said Meyer. “That means enhancing infrastructure while preserving the high-touch, member-focused environment APEX is known for.”
Track 2, now complete and funded by RJT, brings APEX’s total track length to 4.5 miles across three configurations. It allows simultaneous sessions for members and specialized events like OEM activations, private rentals, and advanced driver development.
As APEX evolves, leadership remains intentional about balancing growth with the club’s intimate, communitydriven feel. “Exclusivity here doesn’t mean exclusion. We define it by the quality of the experience,” Meyer explained. “This club is built for people who love cars and driving and want to share that passion with others. It’s not about status, it’s about authenticity.”
This approach means no public track days and a continued focus on tailored programming, member-first amenities, and curated events that reflect the APEX lifestyle.
Looking ahead, APEX’s vision extends well beyond its current footprint. Phase 2 garage condos are now under construction and expected to begin closing later this year. Plans are underway for single-family villas with sweeping views of the track and nearby mountains. Additional offerings like go-kart circuits and two-car garages will support the club’s push toward becoming a family-friendly, full-service motor sports destination.
“In five years, we expect APEX to be recognized as one of the most respected private motorsports clubs in North America and globally,” said Meyer. “We’re creating something that blends performance with lifestyle, and we’re doing it without pretense.”
As Track 2 reshapes the driving experience, the upcoming clubhouse is poised to become the core of APEX’s social fabric. “This new facility will give members a luxurious yet relaxed space to unwind, watch the action, host guests, and truly connect,” Meyer said. “We’re also building curated programming—from group drives to lifestyle events—that will bring members together on and off the track.”

Some of the greatest automotive brands were built off the idea the "establishment" has missed the mark. Most notably, when Mr. Lamborghini was not too impressed with his red sports car from Maranello, Italy; and set off to build his own. With a modern twist, the INEOS Grenadier brand was born from a similar story. When Land Rover ended production of the previous generation Defender, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, chairman of the very successful European chemicals group, tried buying the machinery to continue to build those Defenders under his own brand. Land Rover would not agree to terms, and ended up refusing the sale of their production materials, so Sir Ratcliffe embarked on his own journey to build the world's best luxury/utilitarian SUV.
“Shrek”, our admiringly named Sela Green INEOS Grenadier is the real deal, off-road, go-anywhere vehicle. Upgrades included Toyo Open Country A/T tires and a front bumper brush guard that bullies other drivers out of the way on the road; however, inside the INEOS Grenadier, you would not believe how comfortable and capable the ride is as a daily driver. This incredibly supple ride, as well as effortless steering and great visibility, was the biggest takeaway from the ultimate utilitarian vehicle. Inside the INEOS, driver and passengers are treated to beautifully made RECARO seats. Powering the INEOS Grenadier is a 3.0 liter turbocharged BMW inline 6 paired to a ZF 8-speed auto trans and 2-speed transfer case. Companies like BMW and ZF do not let just anyone making their first vehicle use their powertrain components. Only a serious automaker, with a serious product would be allowed to use such premium components in their construction. These big-name collaborations bring us to our second revelation with the INEOS Grenadier, it does not feel like a new product.
Build quality of the INEOS Grenadier is just as you’d expect any other European luxury auto maker. There are no squeaks or rattles in the interior, the drivetrain feels like it was all developed properly to work together, and the off-road telemetry/technology included in the vehicle’s systems feel like they’ve been in development for years, with billions of dollars invested into their reliability.
It is no surprise the off-road capability is where these vehicles really show off. First the hardware, 3 locking differentials: front, center and rear, 3 modes for those differentials: high range, low range, and locked, and a 2-speed transfer case. The software: downhill assist, pathfinder recording, compass rose, waypoint logging, latitude and longitude tracking, altitude & air pressure monitoring, wading depth monitoring, wheel angle, G-force, vehicle’s pitch recording, temperatures, aux. battery monitoring, and much more! The sheer tech dedicated to the intricacies of off-road driving is very impressive. All data displays work smoothly and reliably as well, you are not waiting in loading screens or lagging in display data, this information is fed perfectly to the infotainment screen in the middle of the cabin.
Cabin trim is an F16 fighter-inspired, metal face with exposed screws, toggle switches, and physical button aesthetics. The physical buttons and switches on the center console is a refreshing reminder of how convenient vehicle controls can be when not hidden in an infotainment menu screen, or how a modern vehicle does not need a TV for a center console to feel new. The INEOS Grenadier cabin is well thought out and intuitive with the placement of the button controls, something else not entirely synonymous with a new automaker, but another reason why the INEOS Grenadier does not feel like an automaker’s first attempt at a vehicle.

Bentley Motors presents its latest luxury vision concept inside its brand-new design studio, which also officially opens its doors for the first time this week. EXP 15 represents Bentley’s design vision for the future, by taking inspiration from its early 20th century Grand Tourer heritage and interpreting it in a thoroughly modern 21st century way.
Accordingly, the five-metre-plus full-size physical exterior model has an iconic upright grille, long ‘endless’ bonnet and rearward cabin reminiscent of the 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman coupe, often known as the “Blue Train”. This famous Bentley from history is associated with a race between Woolf Barnato – then company chairman and renowned “Bentley Boy” – and a luxury express train (Le Train Bleu) from Cannes in the south of France to Calais in the north, arriving in London before the train had even got to Calais. But in combination with ultra-modern exterior surfacing, high-tech lighting details and active aerodynamic elements, the 2025 concept roots itself firmly in the now and future. While not intended for production or indeed sale, EXP 15 also provides hints to the design of future Bentleys including the brand’s first fully electric car due soon.
Within its cabin, the design approach is just as forward-thinking. Created using virtual reality (VR) software to enable customers to see and experience a wider variety of possible configurations, it mixes familiar contemporary physical car interior features like luxury seating, wing-shaped dashboard, steering wheel, dials and switches with spellbindingly futuristic digital elements that can be brought to the fore or melt away into the background as driver mood or functional need requires.
The package is unusual for featuring three seats and three doors – rather than four or five of both – to afford greater luxury in transit for the special few and includes innovative in-cabin storage for treasured pets and/or hand luggage as well. When stationary even the boot space can take on a dual role as upmarket picnic seating.
Material choices are meticulous throughout and feature a mix of the traditional, artisanal and sustainable, combined with the ultra-modern, technical and futuristic. For example, a 100 per cent wool textile by Fox Brothers – the inventors of thorn-proof cloth and English weavers of some 250 years’ standing – is used in a damson ombre effect on EXP 15’s interior and can be found nestling in harmony with various lightweight 3D-printed titanium finishes.
The user experience (UX) is also key to EXP 15 with the car designed to act as an intelligent and thoughtful mix of a fabulous conductor and celebrated chef all rolled into one.
Robin Page, Bentley Director of Design, said: “The beauty of a concept car is not just to position our new design language, but to test where the market’s going. It’s clear that SUVs are a growing segment and we understand the GT market – through four generations of the Continental GT – but the trickiest segment is the sedan because it’s changing. Some customers want a classic ‘three-box’ sedan shape, others a ‘one-box’ design, and others again something more elevated. So this was a chance for us to talk to people and get a feeling.”
