Senior Center construction to begin this quarter

At a special board meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 21, the board voted to award a contract to Waner Construction for construction of the Highlands Ranch Senior Center. The guaranteed maximum price contract amount is $15,400,093. The GMP contract does not include landscaping, furniture, fixtures and special equipment. The landscape and site amenities are still being reviewed by staff and will be brought to the board as a separate action item in 2023. The estimated total cost for the project is $18.4 million.

Building plans are currently under final review by Douglas County. Site design is undergoing some minor revisions, which has delayed the start of site work. It is now anticipated to begin this month.
