CodeRed, or Reverse 911, will provide alerts by phone, email and text about emergencies in your area. It will also provide instructions on how to protect life and property.

The high-speed system works by sending pre-recorded voicemails to your phone and email. Notifications will include police activity, lost children, wildfires and other emergencies nearby.

Please encourage friends, family members, neighbors and co-workers to register. Businesses should also sign up at dcsheriff.net

This project will improve safety, mobility and traffic operations by widening, from four to six lanes, and rebuilding a segment of US 85/South Santa Fe Drive from Highlands Ranch Parkway, extending north of the C-470 Interchange and north of County Line Road.

This is Douglas County’s largest transportation project to date. Project partners include CDOT, the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), the Federal Highway Administration, Highlands Ranch Metro District and Chatfield Basin Developers. Construction is expected to be completed in 2025. For project updates and information, please visit douglas.co.us/us-85-construction

Do you have any Russian olive trees in your yard?

You may be eligible to receive $150 towards the removal of this invasive species from your property. More information and the application for the homeowner incentive program are available at highlandsranch.org/forestry, or by scanning the QR code at right.

Russian olive trees are harmful to our local ecosystems, and they have been illegal to sell in Colorado for almost 20 years. Reducing the number of them in our community is a collective effort.
