A NEW CENTER, ADDED PROGRAMS AND SERVICES, AND AN UPDATED LOOK
As construction of the Highlands Ranch Senior Center progresses, Active Adult Programs and Services (AAPS) has officially made the transition to Senior Center Programs and Services. While the center will open in 2024, expanded senior programming and resources will be offered starting this fall. We’re excited to set off on this new journey together, and to continue to build upon the incredible programs and services that serve our community’s older adult population.
This fall, fitness, health and enrichment programs will be scheduled at Mountainview Christian Church, which is located adjacent to the Senior Center site, as well as at the Metro District Parks, Recreation and Open Space Service Center at Redstone Park and the Douglas County Library in Highlands Ranch. For more information about upcoming programs, and to register, visit highlandsranch.org/seniorcenter after Aug.1.
Do you want to show your support for the new senior center? Starting in August, you can purchase your inaugural senior center membership! For only $20, or $25 for non-residents, this membership will provide discounts on programs, early access to program registration, and direct email communication about upcoming programs,
events and senior center construction information. Information about membership will be posted at highlandsranch.org/seniorcenter.
As programming is expanded, we will be seeking individuals who would like to share their skills and expertise as program instructors. If you are qualified and interested in teaching classes at the center, including arts, fitness, languages, music or more, please contact Jill Hall, Senior Services Manager, at jhall@highlandsranch.org, or call 303-785-0320.
