Social & enrichment opportunities scheduled As activities move indoors, social programs and opportunities for learning are planned. We invite you to join us for morning coffee chats, lunches, social hours and dinners. We are also hosting classes on legal paperwork, better sleep and holiday traditions and customs at Douglas County Libraries at Highlands Ranch, October through December.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU: FAQs Q: If I need a ride to the doctor, grocery store or other locations around town, is there transportation available to me?

A: Yes. There are private, county and regional transportation services that can help with your transportation needs. Contact Jodie at jmccann@highlandsranch.org or 720-240-4922 for information.

Q: I am a caregiver for my parent who still lives in their home. Are services available that could step in when I cannot be there or to give me an occasional break?

A: Yes. A licensed non-medical in-home care agency can provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation and more. Agencies are bonded and insured. There are also county-directed services and benefits that provide these services, giving you the support and break you need so that you can continue to be a healthy and involved care provider.

Q: I am new to Highlands Ranch and would like to meet new people, find activities and take classes. What is available to me and where do I find the information?

A: The Metro District’s Active Adult Programs & Services (AAPS) provides activities, lifelong learning and social opportunities to help you meet new people and feel connected in the community. Visit highlandsranch.org/signmeup and click on the Active Adults (Seniors) box. AAPS coordinator Jodie McCann can direct you to other local lifelong learning classes.
