Y9 GCSE options update
Advertisement
We have started talking to year 9 students this week about options. This started with an assembly to introduce the process. The deadline for making initial option choices is 6 February and we will be collecting students’ options electronically via Microsoft Forms. This form will be sent out to students by email the week before deadline week.
The options process is fully outlined in the first section of the Student Options Booklet which all students will be given after Christmas. Detailed information on individual option subjects in the can be found in the KS4 Curriculum Booklet on the school website: https://www.highfields.derbyshire.sch.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/KS4-Curriculum-Guide-202324-1.pdf. There is a virtual options evening taking place on 11 January, which will also be available for you to download to enable you to hear about the process if you are unable to attend. All of our resources are online and copies of the KS4 Curriculum Guide and student booklet can be found on our website (https://www.highfields.derbyshire.sch.uk/students/year-9-gcse-options/). We would like to wish all our students every success with their future studies. If you require further information please contact Miss Esposito who will direct your enquiry to the appropriate member of staff aesposito@highfields.derbyshire.sch.uk.
