Forthcoming events:

Year 12 parent consultation evening:

The Y12 parent consultation evening is being held in the sixth form area on Tuesday 29 November 2022 between 4-7pm. Students are arranging appointment times with teaching staff.

December INSET days:

Monday 5 December and Thursday 22 December are INSET days and no students will be in school.

Christmas concert:

Highfields Christmas concert will be held the evening of Wednesday 14 December in the Wheeldon Hall at Lumsdale (upper school site) – details will be published nearer the time.

Dungeons & Dragons club

Miss Poundall

The adventure begins...

Our new upper site Dungeons and Dragons club has seen record highs in numbers recently, with 18 adventure-seeking students attending. I, for one, have never seen an adventuring party this large; it has to be seen to be believed! We also have 12 students who attend lower site Dungeons and Dragons club too, which has been running since last academic year; so far, all students at both sites are doing a brilliant job.

Our fantastic students roleplay and battle their hearts out, using communication skills, acting, numerical skills and creativity to bring their characters to life and roll those all-important dice! I can already see many students' confidence increasing, which is wonderful to see!

Thank you all for coming to D&D club, it's an honour to game with you; let's see where the journey takes us! Devious deducing and deftly duelling… that’s Dungeons and Dragons!
