Shout Outs

Staff have been sending in messages to let school know about the good work students are producing while they are learning from home and we wanted to share these with you.

Geography

Mrs Barker wanted to give a shout out to Alfie (9EB) for the lovely work on development indicators using a lesson from the Oak National Academy.

Mathematicians of the week

Yet again the students of Highfields have been producing some incredible work. The maths department wants to celebrate the students that are consistently handing in excellent work, trying their best and doing themselves proud!

English

Shout outs for year 9 English this week from Mrs Grainger and Mr Garth. The following are just some of the many students have worked incredibly hard this week on their GCSE poetry work and they produced some lovely descriptive writing last week.

We have so many year 9s working hard with their English work at the moment, too many to mention, so we just want to say a huge thank you to all for completing and submitting work.

This brillliant piece is from Rose in 9h2. She has created a storyboard for the Wilfred Owen poem 'Exposure'. This is all her own artwork!

Art

Ms Davies would like a shout out to Harry (7KSW) and Katie Louise (7JST) for the great effort and consistency in their art work - they are both trying really hard to develop their skills in this subject and consistently submitting it – well done!

Biology

Mrs Stafford would like a shout out to her year 9 biologists, particularly those students who have been making a real effort to catch up on missed work this week and a big thank you to students who are sending comments on Show My Homework to let Mrs Stafford know if any help is needed – please continue to ask if you are not sure.
