Sports Leaders News Mrs Allen (School Sports Co-ordinator)
Our sports leaders are usually extremely busy supporting sporting activities not only in school, but also within our partner primary schools and across the wider community. This year for the start of the year initially we are looking at alternative ways for our sports leaders to work and we will let you know how we get on.

Sports leaders update
Our year 12 level 3 sports leaders were filming practices for our feeder primary schools on Friday 2 October. Students involved had a great time filming.
Mr Molyneux took part in Sports Leaders UK refresher training (virtually) on Tuesday 6 October. This is a requirement each tutor delivery the sports leaders qualifications has to do every two years.
On Wednesday 7 October our year 10 level 1 sports leaders took part in their first lunchtime practice.

Mr Molyneux and Mrs Allen ran a virtual bronze ambassador conference on Thursday 8 October for our primary schools. We are all having to get used to working in a different way whilst ensuring students are as engaged in virtual learning where we are unable to provide practical face to face support.
Shortlisting for the ‘Girls Active Awards 2020’ is taking place. Alisha (now at Manchester University) is shortlisted for Leader of the Year award and Holly (who is now working) is shortlisted in the category of ‘most personal growth as a leader’ – we wish them luck!
