Features
Refrigerator Notes We’re always looking for new ideas for Kids Directory to provide valuable resources, and this month we’re starting a new awareness feature in the banner of the calendar page. And, although it may not always be so, this month’s feature is worth mentioning here. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ladies, regular self-exams are a must. And, once you reach a certain age, annual mammograms are a necessity. Not everyone has the resources to pay either through selfpay or insurance. That’s why we are fortunate to have an organization like Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks right. You may qualify for their free mammogram program. If you need information or support, they are a great resource, too. Find them online at BCFO.org. Breast exams and cancer are rarely a comfortable topic. Don’t let that stop you from taking charge of your health. | ~Melinda, publisher & parent of a teenager Connect with Kids Directory SpringfieldKids.com Facebook @SpringfieldKids Twitter @spfldkidsdirectory Instagram @springfield_kids
