Refrigerator Notes In this issue.. These are difficult times. The weeks leading up to the first day of school have often been filled with giddy excitement mixed with a dash of trepedation. Now, it’s less excitement and more angst about what lies ahead as our kids head back to school (or stay home to learn or a mix of both) in the midst of a pandemic. Businesses and organizations in our community—our advertisers among them—are struggling. Lost income, slower product delivery, reduced appointment schedules, and lower attendance. It is not easy to be a smallbusiness owner right now. So, we thank you for supporting our advertisers. Please thank them for supporting Kids Directory. There are a lot of difficult decisions being made. What are the lessons for our kids? Show understanding and empathy for those in positions of authority who are trying to do the right thing at a time when we’re not entirely sure what the right thing is. Be aware of and care about your community. Wash your hands. Wear your mask. Be safe and well. |

Education Resources This is an unusual academic year––picking up where the 2019-20 year left off... and starting with uncertainty and angst because of the coronavirus pandemic. In-person, online, and hybrid lesson deliveries are the norm for now. In the end, though, our kids will still study. And, as parents, we’ll regularly receive their grades and have parent-teacher conferences in some form. As we approach the new school year, your child might benefit from an academic boost or enrichment, and there are many service providers in the greater-Springfield area who offer what you are looking for.
