Refrigerator Notes Thirty minutes. Then, 45 and 60. That’s the time I dedicated to daily practice at the piano and on flute as a child and teen. I thank my parents for the thousands of dollars they spent on private lessons, music, and instruments; and the hours they listened to practice; and the miles they drove to recitals and competitions. Music became a part of my life that I carried well into adulthood. At Kids Directory, we believe we have a stronger community and an enhanced quality of life when the arts community is vibrant. That’s why we support our community visual and performing arts organizations. Make this the school year you encourage your child to pursue artistic expression through visual or performing arts. Attend a performance or visit the art museum. Open your mind to the wonder found in the arts. You might be amazed where it will take you. | ~Melinda, publisher & parent of a teenager Connect with Kids Directory SpringfieldKids.com Facebook @SpringfieldKids Twitter @spfldkidsdirectory Instagram @springfield_kids
