Summer has been long and humid. I, for one, can’t be happier that fall begins this month. I look forward to wearing cozy hoodies and sweaters and with jeans and boots. Fall in the Ozarks brings so many hometown festivals, and the thought of apples, pumpkins, baked goods, and home crafts takes me back to my upbringing in rural southern Missouri. I love the simpler pace of small towns. It is our hope that now that you and your bigs and littles have settled into school routines you find time to get out into the Ozarks’ fall and enjoy one or many of the events in our communities. We are thrilled that you can pick up Kids Directory throughout Springfield and in many neighboring towns. Take a minute to thank the many businesses who make our magazine available to you. ~Melinda, publisher & parent of a teenager
