Refrigerator Notes In this issue.. Features
Last month, we launched a reader survey. We’re keeping it open through June to collect more responses. The link to use is on page 22. We want to know more about you and how you use Kids Directory every month. And, our advertisers want to know, too. It doesn’t see possible that we are almost half way through 2021. And, all parents comment about how quickly time passes and our kids grow up. But–WHOA!–Is it just me, or is time absolutely flying by? With the end of the regular school year, hopefully you and your family are finding time to slow down. Yes, there are summer camps, vacations, summer school, and sports, dance, and music lessons. There is a simple joy that comes from hanging out in the backyard, imagining the shapes we see in the clouds, and catching fireflies. Pack a simple picnic lunch for some playtime in the park to get away from hectic days. Now that my son has graduated high school, I hope he and I can head out on a road trip or two to create a few more summer memories before he heads off to college in August. Life feels a little more normal with mask mandates and distancing requirements lifted. Still, be safe. Wear your mask if you feel you need to. Wash your hands. Hug your kids. And, most of all, be kind to yourself. |
