Find Bollywood Dance Academy of Springfield MO on Facebook Bollywood dance is an Indian dance form which is a culmination of dance styles like Indian folk and classical, hip hop, western, and jazz. Bollywood dancers use hand, neck, foot, and head movements, and facial expressions to tell a story through energetic, colorful, and mesmerizing dances. Bollywood Dance Academy is currently registering for their summer program through August and the school year program September-May. Originally founded in 1976 as the Springfield Civic Ballet Inc., Springfield Ballet offers a comprehensive dance curriculum and community productions. The Springfield-Greene County Park Board offers dance classes for children at two family centers. At Doling Family Center, the next sessions of Tiny Dancers (ages 3-4 years old) and Kids’ Dance (ages 5-10) begin July 15. Kids’ Dance covers beginning, intermediate, and advanced dancers.
