We sincerely apologize for the error on the first day of school for Springfield Public Schools in our July issue. Gold stars to the moms who gave us the head’s up. SPS kiddos, your first day of school is Aug. 15! Anticipation. That’s the best word to describe August. Kids, parents, and teachers are eager with anticipation for the new school year. Littles are heading to preschool or kindergarten. Bigs are seasoned experts at navigating the first days of school, unless this is the year they change buildings or have a schedule where they change classrooms. Embrace the anticipation and use it as a springboard to a great school year. And, even though school starts this month, the fun doesn’t end. We have LOTS of summer left to get out and explore! ~Melinda, publisher & parent of a teenager Features Healthy Kids/Healthy Families Where do KIDS EAT FREE?......................................6 CoxHealth................................................................2 Education Resources for Kids............................. 18 Gardner Pediatric Dentistry............................... 33 2018-19 Field Trip Guide................................... 28 Little Grins Dental................................................ 17 Kids Calendar....................................................... 34 Pierce Vision Specialists..................................... 25 Business & Employment Opportunities Robert J.
