uly 4th is celebrated as the birth of American independence across the country with typical festivities ranging from fireworks, parades and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. How will you celebrate this year? Check out some local options.

Friday, July 3rd BRANSON LANDING’S 8th ANNUAL LIBERTY LIGHT UP Presented by Convoy of Hope Come celebrate Independence Day - In a BIG Way - a Day Early! The Liberty Light Up Concert will begin at 6PM and features the incredible Sandi Patty, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Dino and Cheryl Kartsonakis, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Cor Captis, and Cadence! You don’t want to miss this talent-packed concert! Following the concert, around 10PM, Branson Landing’s 8th Annual Liberty Light Up will light up the skies over Lake Taneycomo with an amazing choreographed Fireworks Display Show produced by Gateway Fireworks Displays.

This celebration promises to be unforgettable with a choreographed opening highlighting a spectacular celebration of America’s Independence - closing with a Gateway Fireworks Signature Grand Finale that will leave you in awe.

Saturday, July 4th SPRINGFIELD’S OLD FASHIONED 4TH OF JULY PARADE AND CELEBRATION! Your Grandparents’ Fourth of July parade begins at 10AM on Benton Ave., just north of Central High School, turns right on Calhoun, left on Washington Ave., and right on East Locust to Washington Park. Events at Historic Washington Park continue until 1PM with live music with The Norman Jackson Band, games, awards, ice cream and cold drinks. CoxHealth presents FIREWORKS AT THE FIELD Southwest Missouri’s largest Independence Day Celebration! FIREBURST 2015 OVER TABLE ROCK LAKE The 28th Annual Fireburst Celebration over Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City can be viewed by car, boat or on foot. An estimated 1,000 boats will gather again to experience this popular summertime event. Fireburst will set off your imagination with an unbelievable fireworks show. Whether on foot or all aboard, there is no bad seat in the house. Head to Indian Point and bring a chair to enjoy the festivities from land.
