Things to Do Rhema Lights Nov 21, 2018 to Jan 1, 2019 5:30 PM until 11:30 PM It’s time once again for the spectacular Rhema Christmas Lights Extravaganza! This brilliant display of twinkling lights first began in 1982 with about 60,000 lights. Today more than two million lights adorn the campus from Thanksgiving Eve (Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 6 PM) through New Year’s Day. The glittering lights will shine every day from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. The display typically draws more than 200,000 visitors from Oklahoma and surrounding states. Rhema Bible Church 1025 W. Outdoor Christmas Market Dec 8, 2018 to Dec 9, 2018 03:00 PM until 08:00 PM The Outdoor Christmas Market invites your entire family to enjoy an evening under a canopy of lights as you listen to music celebrating the Christmas Season. Unique Vendor stalls will line the Outdoor Market and Santa & Buddy the Elf are excited to meet your little ones! If you were wishing for a white Christmas this year, the forecast at 96th & Garnett is expecting snow flurries throughout both evenings, so be sure to have your cameras handy! Other activities include: working model trains, children story times, a rideon train, “snowball fight zone” to raise socks for the homeless, food trucks, children’s crafts, and more. Be sure to bring a few blankets so you can wrap up and watch a classic Christmas movie on our outdoor movie screen! Our freetoattend event will be a wonderful, fun-filled evening. Places to Go Glow on the Green Nov 29, 2018 to Dec 24, 2018 06:00 PM until 09:00 PM Guthrie Green is hosting its sixth annual “Glow on the Green” event. The park will be illuminated with thousands of lights accompanied with live music, special performances, holiday themed food, and specialty drinks at our new onsite restaurant, Green-wich. This month-long event is FREE, open to everyone, and is pet-friendly! The dock area will be converted into “Rudolph’s Lounge” where there will be festive décor, upscale seating, an abundant amount of heaters, and showcasing new and exciting culinary offers from Green-wich restaurant serving holidaythemed food and drinks for both adults and children. The main stage will be converted into “Reindeer Games”—an interactive, familyfriendly space where children and adults can play an array of interactive glow games each week, Thursday-Saturday, 6:00-9:00pm. The centerpiece of the park will feature Oklahoma’s only, one-of-a-kind, art installation of a 25 ft. lighted Christmas tree uniquely composed of distinctive pieces of art from local artists in our community. SCHEDULE Sunday, Nov. 25th, 4:00pm-7:00pm: LIGHTS ON event. Mayor GT Bynum will be the guest of honor at the lighting ceremony at 6:00pm followed by another rockin’ hour of live music! Santa at Bass Pro Shops (FREE) Nov 11, 2018 to Dec 24, 2018 Santa’s Wonderland is the ultimate free family Christmas event. The magic returns to Bass Pro Shops and Tulsa families are invited to enjoy this enchanting Christmas village offering FREE 4x6 studio-quality photos with Santa and free family holiday activities including fun crafts and games. Features include rustic Christmas cabins, holiday characters and live elves set amongst a dazzling backdrop of snow-covered hills and illuminated Christmas trees. The Santa’s Wonderland Christmas village offers remote control trucks, laser/ foam toy arcade, Lincoln Logs building area and much more. Kids can also enjoy free crafts, coloring stations and write a letter to Santa. Guests can reserve their free visit and photo with Santa using the free Bass Pass system. Guests can register online for a digital Bass Pass to see Santa, allowing them time to explore Santa’s Wonderland or shop while they wait. Updates and reminders will be sent via text messages.
