A NOTE from the Publisher Welcome to the October issue of NEA Kids’ Directory, the newest addition to the Occasions Publishing Group family of publications.

This month’s cover features Valley View students Camryn Cude and Teagan Hesch, who participate in the Best Buddies program. Best Buddies will host Big Boo! at The Gardens at Harmony on Oct. 20 from 6 to 10 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will provide one-to-one friendships and leadership development for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For more information about the family-friendly event, see our calendar of events.

Will2Wheels is hosting its 3rd annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at Craighead Forest Park.

The event will include trail-side maintenance tips, a skills practice area, and a guided trail ride on some of the trails at Craighead Forest Park. Adults and children of all ages are invited, and bikes and helmets will be available for use during the event.
