A NOTE from the Publisher Welcome to the November issue of NEA Kids’ Directory, the newest addition to the Occasions Publishing Group family of publications.

NEA Kids’ Directory has many features that make it a valuable resource for parents, teachers, grandparents, and childcare professionals – anyone who is involved with children. Join Girl Scouts Diamonds for “Be.” Girls will watch the premiere of the movie “Cents” and then participate in discussions and activities relating the events of the movie to their own life. The movie and event both have an anti-bullying and self-confidence theme. “Be.” is for Girl Scouts only; however, any girl is welcome to come to the event as long as she signs up to be a Girl Scout when registering for the event. “Be.” will take place at Southwest Church of Christ from 2-4:30 p.m. and the cost is $7. Take advantage of an affordable, studio quality portrait with Holiday Pet Photos at Joey Glaub Portrait Art on Nov. 15 and 17 from 5-9 p.m. and Nov. 19 from 9-12 and 1-5 p.m. The cost per pose is $20 for a 5-by-7 print or $25 for an 8-by-10 print. Proceeds will benefit the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society. Both holiday and non-holiday settings are available and pets are not required to participate. Join Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Run Crazy 4 CASA! This 5K/10K run and walk is a fundraiser to support and train CASA volunteers who work with kids that have been taken into foster care and help represent them in court.
