A NOTE from the Publisher Welcome to the April issue of NEA Kids’ Directory, the newest addition to the Occasions Publishing Group family of publications. NEA Kids’ Directory has many features that make it a valuable resource for parents, teachers, grandparents, and childcare professionals – anyone who is involved with children. It is compact in size, making it a handy resource to keep in your purse or car. In addition, it offers valuable coupons for use at kid-friendly businesses and includes a calendar of events so you know what’s going on across Northeast Arkansas each month. You’ll even find a convenient dining guide inside that lists restaurants offering free or discounted kids meals! Our goal each month is to help inform our readers of the many opportunities, events, products and services available for families in Northeast Arkansas. Please remember to support the businesses that advertise in this publication each month and tell them that you saw their ad in NEA Kids’ Directory. If you are interested in advertising in NEA Kids’ Directory, please call us at 931-0012.

10 Fun Facts about Luke and Ellie, age 3 #hanestwins How we celebrate Easter: We will wake up in our bunny pajamas and find our Easter baskets and some treats from the Easter Bunny. Then, we get to find all the real eggs that we dyed for the Easter Bunny the night before. About the time all that candy is kicking in, we will go to church at Southwest, then we’ll head home for a big Easter meal with our family.
Our favorite park is Miracle League, with Craighead Forest Park coming in at a close second. We love playing outside, splashing in puddles and getting dirty whenever possible. Our mommy says she does a lot of laundry. We are twins, but most people don’t believe it. (Luke is five-and-a-half inches taller and 16 pounds heavier than Ellie.)
Our favorite Easter candy is ANY CANDY. We love jellybeans, fruit snacks, M&Ms and especially our chocolate bunnies. We love animals! We have two black labs named Cabela and Bailey and a Beta Fish named FishFish.
One of our favorite things to do is read. A few of our favorites are “Goodnight Moon,” “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” and “Guess How Much I Love You.”
Favorite snacks: Milk and raisins (Luke), applesauce and yogurt (Ellie)
We love to bake – cookies, pies, breads, you name it. We are excellent taste testers.
We love to sing, especially in the car. Our current lineup includes, “Jesus Loves Me,” “The ABCs,” “The Wheels on the Bus,” “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and “My God is so Big.”
One of our favorite places to visit is our Mamaw and Pops’ farm in Missouri. We get to fish, hunt for tadpoles and frogs, swim, go hiking, make s’mores around a campfire and ride around on Pops’ tractor. Then we get to eat the fish! 5
