Wow talk about being right on time. I really needed this word from the Lord today. I am immediately mindful of how often I let frustrations of the world stop me in my tracks on the path that God himself has laid out for me.

This life is not easy. As Children of the Living God we are actually promised that it will be the opposite. We are also promised that God will be with us continuing to guide and strengthen us our whole life through.

I am now immediately mindful of how many times that I have realized what a difference a day makes to change things that are headed in a negative direction. It is so important to stay on the path when you know that you know that you know that you are right where God wants you to be.

Each day as we walk along God’s Path for our lives we plant seeds for future success. In this world of immediate gratification, I am very often guilty of wanting to harvest the seeds in my time, before God is ready for me to receive the blessings of the harvest. I try to harvest the seeds of blessings before they are ripened with His goodness. The next step of course is to step off of the path and start to become distracted or think I can do things by myself.

I pray that God keep me reminded of the bountiful blessings there are in staying on His Path, not giving up on His plan and reaping a harvest in His timing. God Bless You!!

Let’s make some salt dough models and color them to add an extra stage to the creative process. These are so simple to make using everyday ingredients. All members of the family can get involved and make their own special keepsakes.

First make an Autumn Nature Table of leaves, pinecones, acorns and other natural materials. Next, after playing and investigating the different shapes and patterns, make some salt dough. Kneed it until it is smooth and roll it out until it is about 1 cm thick.

Choose your favorite leaf or other natural material and gently push it into the dough. When leaves are peeled off, make sure the impression is visible in the dough. Can you find our pine cone impression?

Time to bake the dough. Put parchment paper on a cookie sheet and bake at 240 degrees F. for 2-3 hours. If the dough is soft in the middle turn over and bake some more. To cool completely, air dry overnight.

Color with crayons or pencils. Add color and texture by blending two or more fall colors together. Draw around the outer edges and along the veins to make those details really stand out to the eye. Our keepsakes are now ready for display!
