Dr.ChenaulthascontinuedhissupportformusicinChesapeakeastheMusicSupervisor forChesapeakePublicSchools. Underhisleadership,musicteachersinChesapeakeknew theyweresupportedandthatmusicwouldcontinuetobeavitalpartofeducationin Chesapeake.

Musiccarriesitsown specialmessagetothesoul--amessagethatisweakenedifwordsaresettothe music. Thismessageisuniqueanddifferentforeachindividual,aseachperson connectstomusicinadifferentway.
Dr.Chenaulthasdevelopedrelationshipsandconnectionswiththousandsof peopleoverhiscareer. Dr.Chenaulthasimpactedstudents,teachersand communitymembersinmeaningfulanduniqueways.JustasAustralianUpCountrySongwaswrittentoconnectwitheachperson’ssoulinadifferentway, Dr.Chenaulthashadthesameamazingimpactforsomanyinourcommunity.

The HBPA meets monthly at Hickory High School and is open to all families with students who participate in the HHS Bands and Color Guard.

Monies raised go toward providing instruments, music, equipment, travel expenses, uniforms, props, competition fees, and much more. Our program boasts some of the finest high school students in Chesapeake.
Most of our members carry an advanced class schedule and are very involved with community service projects. Please consider joining us in the form of a monetary donation.
