Biography Resie Adell Hibbert, affectionately known as “Cherry,” was born on January 19, 1941, in St. Mary, Jamaica, and peacefully departed this life on May 7, 2026 in Weston, Florida. She lived a life rooted in love, faith, dedication, and family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Cherry attended Mico University College in Kingston, Jamaica while simultaneously working at the Government Printing Of ice in bookkeeping, demonstrating from an early age the determination, discipline, and strong work ethic that would de ine her throughout her life.

On August 5, 1961, she married the love of her life, Dudley “Mikey” Hibbert. Together they built a beautiful marriage grounded in commitment, strength, and devotion. Their union was blessed with three children: Charlene, Conrad, and Karen, who were the pride and joy of her life.

In 1982, she emigrated to the United States and settled in Miami, Florida, in pursuit of greater opportunities for her family. In 1997, she and her family moved to Weston, Florida, where she continued building a loving home illed with warmth, faith, and togetherness.

After arriving in the United States, Cherry worked for U.S. Federal Oil and Gas, where she faithfully served her company and family. Once her son completed dental school, she transitioned into helping manage one of his dental of ices, where she worked diligently until retiring in 2014. Following retirement, she lovingly dedicated herself to caring for her husband with the same sel lessness and compassion that de ined her entire life.

Cherry was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Charlene, Conrad, and Karen; her beloved grandchildren Charesse, Mishka, CJ, Noah, Micah, Nikolas, and Elijah; step-grandson Andrew ; her cherished great-grandsons Brandon and Braydon; and her loved son-in-law Anthony.

She also leaves behind an abundance of loving nieces and nephews,

Above all else, Cherry loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her faith was the center of her life, and she remained a devoted woman of prayer who constantly uplifted her family and loved ones before God. Her compassion, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched every person fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable way of making others feel welcomed, cared for, and deeply loved.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Cherry's life was a blessing and her memory will forever remain a source of comfort, inspiration, and love. Her legacy of faith, family devotion, strength, and unconditional love will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
