Snorkel New Product Launch

WHEN SIZE mATTERS

In response to customer demand for a narrower width machine, Snorkel produced two models that created a full line of scissor lifts

DESIGNED FOR THE New Zealand market, the internationally acclaimed Snorkel S2255RT compact rough terrain scissor lift is engineered and produced at the Snorkel facility in Levin, New Zealand. The S2255RT is the most compact rough terrain scissor lift in its class in New Zealand. With an overall width of 1.4m, this robust scissor lift is easily transported using a tandem trailer. Featuring a maximum working height of 8.5m, the S2255RT stows to a height of 2.35m and weighs 2,410kg.

THE MOST COMPACT ROUGH TERRAIN SCISSOR LIFT IN ITS CLASS

Powerfully packed in a compact scissor lift, this model is ideal for outdoor work in tight areas. Sharing many features with the existing line, the S2255RT is designed small to deliver the same performance as a standard width rough terrain scissor lift in confined spaces. As a compact alternative to the large, high capacity diesel twin-deck scissor lifts used on major construction projects, the S2255RT offers versatility. This lift can be operated on large building sites as well as smaller projects, such as shed and barn construction. Equipped with rugged four-wheel drive, the diesel-powered S2255RT has superb terrain capabilities, even on uneven ground. A 35% gradeability provides impressive off-road performance. Hydraulic outriggers can automatically level the machine up to 6° front to rear, and 10° side to side for safe and secure working at height.

Four-Wheel Drive Diesel-Powered S2255RT

Built tough for outdoor work, the S2255RT features excellent ground clearance at 260mm. For sensitive surfaces or indoor work, non-marking tires leave no trace or marks. Proportional joystick controls and a tight inside turning radius of 2.5m provide excellent manoeuvrability. For more platform space and added reach over low level obstacles, the lift includes a 1.2m (3 ft. 11 in.) roll-out deck extension. Boasting a generous platform capacity for carrying tools and materials, the S2255RT can lift up to 420kg. An integrated power line to platform makes it easy to work with power tools without trailing cables. For added flexibility, the compact rough terrain scissor lift offers a bi-energy option. Switching from diesel engine for rough terrain work to electric for indoor use can help meet jobsite regulations on noise and emissions and mean that the lift can stay on the job from groundbreaking to completion. To further reduce environmental impact, the S2255RT includes an option for hydraulic oil. High performance, biodegradable hydraulic oil benefits the equipment and the environment by reducing the machine’s energy consumption. All lifts in the Snorkel series of compact rough terrain scissor lifts deliver a large working area, high lifting capacity, and superb terrain capabilities from compact dimensions. Available globally, the S2255RT is built in Snorkel’s facility in Levin, New Zealand and at Snorkel’s Vigo Center in the UK. ■
