Huntington Health Appoints Jinhee Nguyen as Chief Operating Officer untington Health has appointed Jinhee Nguyen, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC — who currently serves as senior vice president and chief nursing officer — as chief operating officer, expanding her leadership role across the organization.

Since joining Huntington Health nearly two years ago, Jinhee has strengthened care quality, deepened nursing engagement, and supported operational performance as a leader within the hospital. Known for her thoughtful, collaborative leadership style, she brings a clear focus to what matters most: supporting patients and the teams who care for them.

In her expanded role, Jinhee will continue serving as senior vice president and chief nursing officer, while also helping guide hospital operations. She will work closely with leaders and teams, bringing a perspective shaped by her broad experience, including her early career as an emergency and trauma nurse.

Celebrating a Shared Commitment to Care untington Hospital’s Office of Philanthropy recently hosted our Benefactor Cocktail Reception at the Langham Huntington Hotel, a special evening dedicated to bringing together committed supporters and reflecting on the strength of the community behind our mission. The gathering offered a meaningful opportunity to acknowledge shared accomplishments and recognize the generosity, vision and guidance of our supporters. Guests heard first-hand from Dr. Corman about his goals for Huntington’s future and why philanthropic investment matters when it comes to the expert care we provide.

Supporting Patients Beyond Discharge untington Hospital recently expanded care beyond its walls with the launch of the Huntington Health Discharge Care Center (HH DCC), an innovative pilot program supporting patients during one of the most vulnerable phases of care — after they return home. Focused on patients at high risk of readmission, the program provides clinical guidance, care coordination and access to essential resources, promoting safe recovery and reducing the likelihood of returning to the hospital.

Care transition programs like the HH DCC are increasingly recognized as a national best practice, and the pilot underscores our ongoing commitment to delivering data-informed, patient-centered care. HH DCC reflects a shared hospital-wide commitment to improving patient outcomes and ensuring patients continue to receive the support they need beyond discharge.

During the initial phase, the HH DCC team will proactively identify and reach out to eligible patients based on defined criteria, with the goal of creating a more connected, responsive experience for those served.

Volunteer Spotlight For over a decade, Sandy Harris has supported Huntington Hospital as a volunteer in many roles throughout the emergency department, information desk, community health events, vaccine clinics, and more.

With over 10,000 volunteer hours, her dedicated service and thoughtful gestures provide valuable support to the Huntington community, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families, and staff alike.

Here When Every Second Counts untington Hospital plays a vital role in caring for the community, delivering rapid, lifesaving treatment when every second counts. As home to the longest-running Level II trauma center in the San Gabriel Valley, we provide 24/7 access to highly specialized care for patients with severe, time-sensitive injuries.

This work is powered by a multidisciplinary

team of trauma surgeons, nurses, coordinators, social workers, and case management professionals, working together to ensure timely, high-quality, patient-centered care.

To strengthen care for patients with serious injuries, we recently introduced a specialized trauma nursing team in our emergency department, focused on delivering consistent, high-quality support during the earliest, most critical moments of care. Team members also participated in a dedicated Trauma Skills Day, featuring hands-on training and expert-led instruction to further support learning.
