TARA COMMUNITY NEWS MESSAGE FROM PHILLIP PARSH, PRESIDENT Tara Board of Directors I am very proud to share that Tara GCC has once again been voted Best Golfing Community in the Bradenton area in the best of Bradenton People’s choice Awards! This marks the third year in a row and the fourth time in the past five years that Tara has received this honor. This achievement reflects the pride and dedication that make Tara such a special place to call home. A sincere thank you goes to all our volunteers, management, and team members for the time and hard work they put into making our community the best it can be. We should all be proud of this recognition. Budget season is also upon us. The Board is working closely with the Finance Committee and management to prepare the final budget for Board approval by the end of October. As always, our goal is to keep monthly increases to a minimum while making sure we have the resources needed to maintain our amenities and continue providing a high level of satisfaction for our members. Our next regular Board meeting will be held on Monday, September 14th at 3:00 PM. Thank you for your continued support, involvement, and pride in our community. Together, we continue to make Tara a wonderful place to live and enjoy.

TARA COMMUNITY NEWS MESSAGE FROM DAVID TAYLOR, GENERAL MANAGER dtaylor@taragcc.com As we head into September, I want to begin by thanking everyone for your continued patience and flexibility as we operate out of our temporary dining space. We know it has required some adjustments, and we truly appreciate how supportive everyone has been. The good news is that we are making great progress, and the finish line is getting closer every day! One of our final major hurdles is now nearly behind us—the relocation of the clubhouse fire sprinkler system. With our new layout, nearly 140 sprinkler heads needed to be moved and repositioned throughout the renovated areas. This has been a significant undertaking, but the work is almost complete. Once finished, we will be able to begin closing up the ceilings, which we anticipate taking approximately one week.

WELCOME NEW MEMBERS: Bruce & Kym Burke - Golf 7024 Chickasaw Bayou Road

There is plenty of visible progress happening as well. The new back patio has been poured and has already been measured for its new hand railings.

Gloria Creighton – Social 6582 Fairway Gardens Dr.

September should be an especially exciting month because many of the finishes that truly transform a construction project into a finished clubhouse will begin coming together. Flooring will be installed this month, windows and doors are scheduled to begin going in any day, and toward the end of September we expect to start setting equipment behind the new bars. These are the milestones where everyone will really begin to see the vision we have been working toward take shape.

Catherine Merkey - Golf 6707 Stone River Road #203

Most importantly, we remain on track for an opening at the beginning of November. There is still plenty of work happening behind the scenes and throughout the clubhouse, but each week brings us noticeably closer to what will feel like an entirely new space. After months of demolition, construction, temporary dining arrangements, and a lot of patience from our membership, we are entering the exciting stretch where the pieces begin coming together quickly. Thank you again for your patience, enthusiasm, and support throughout this project. November will be here before we know it, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone into our refreshed clubhouse!

TARA GOLF HAPPENINGS MESSAGE FROM MISSY WILLIAMS, HEAD GOLF PRO 941.758.7961 x1226 | mwilliams@taragcc.com September Golf: Enjoy the Ride! September is here, and that can only mean one thing around the club—the big events are coming! The next few months are filled with major preparation, club championships, member events, and plenty of opportunities to compete, connect, and enjoy what makes our club special. This is the time of year when the golf calendar really starts to pick up speed. The days may be getting shorter, but the excitement is just getting started! The Major Events Are Coming! We have a lot to look forward to, and these events take an incredible amount of preparation, participation, and support from our membership. Whether you’re playing, supporting a spouse who is playing, cheering on friends, or simply enjoying the energy around the club, you are an important part of making these events successful. Major events aren’t just about competition. They are about traditions, friendships, sportsmanship, and creating the kind of memories that make belonging to a club like ours special. So, when you see an event on the calendar that you’ve never played before—sign up! When a fellow member asks you to play—say yes! When there is an opportunity to support a club event—get involved! You never know which event might become your favorite. Support the Club. Support Each Other. A successful golf season doesn’t happen by accident. It takes participation from all of us. We are actively working on the new “THE MAJORS” series of events that start in February. · February 4th – 6th – Tara Member Member event (men’s flights, ladies flights, mixed flights) · March 18th – 20th – Tara Men’s Member Guest event!

FAIRWAY FLASHBACK GUESS THE MEMBER: Can you name this Tara member from their throwback golf photo? See the back page for the answer.

· April 3rd and 4th – Tara Couples Member Guest! Your Professional staff puts a great deal of time and effort into creating these events, and they are designed for you—the members. The more we participate and support the club’s initiatives, the better the experience becomes for everyone. Let’s also remember that competition doesn’t have to mean taking ourselves too seriously. Play hard. Play fair. Cheer for your fellow members. Celebrate the great shots—and laugh about the ones we’d rather forget! At the end of the day, we’re fortunate to have the opportunity to play this game, compete with friends, and be part of a community that shares a love for golf. Enjoy the Ride There will be great rounds, tough rounds, winning putts, missed putts, celebrations, frustrations, and probably a few stories we’ll be telling long after the season is over. That’s golf. That’s what makes it fun. So as we head into the heart of our season, my challenge to everyone is simple, show up, sign up, support the club, support your fellow members and most importantly—enjoy the ride! The major events are coming, and I can’t wait to see everyone out there making the most of them. Let’s make this a season to remember!

Missy Williams

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Tara members and especially the House Committee who organized the 50/50 raffle. “TEAM MISSY” reached Barton Hills for the US Senior Women’s Open and what a fantastic time it was. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement made this journey truly unforgettable. The spirit of Tara, uplifting one another is something incredibly special, and I feel so fortunate to have YOU ALL in my corner. Reflecting on the event, here are some key takeaways that resonate deeply with me: ∙ I recognize the need to put in more effort, starting right now! ∙ The level of talent among these extraordinary women is truly inspiring. ∙ The USGA created an environment where every participant felt valued and appreciated. ∙ Barton Hills presented a formidable challenge, testing even the best golfers. I am especially grateful for the tremendous support from my caddy Amy and Kathi, who graciously cared for our sweet dog Lainey throughout the week. Their assistance was invaluable, and I couldn’t have accomplished this without their love and help. Thank you all once again for being such a wonderful team. Your support means the world to me. YOU ALL ARE A PART OF TEAM MISSY!

TARA COURSE HAPPENINGS MESSAGE FROM DON ABELL, COURSE SUPERINTENDENT 941.751.5593 | dabell@taragcc.com Why Verticutting and Topdressing are Necessary Verticutting and Topdressing is done to the golf course in order to provide excellent conditions on the greens. This cultural practice is as relevant as drinking water, eating and sleeping for humans. Golf course maintenance verticuts and topdresses on a weekly basis during the summer to promote the health of the greens and to provide for a smoother ball roll. Below are the benefits of Verticutting and Topdressing. · Verticutting removes thatch, reduces grain and forces the remaining turf to stand up straight and smooth the putting surface for better ball roll. · Verticutting opens the turf canopy to allow in more sunlight and also to promote water and nutrient penetration. · Vertical mowing allows the plant to put more energy into growing upright shoots instead of lateral shoots. · Verticutting, thins the turf canopy creating space for topdressing sand to be worked into the soil and thatch layer. · Topdressing produces a smooth, firm putting surface. · Topdressing controls thatch, improves drainage and improves biological balance. · Topdressing protects the crown of the plant. · Improves soil composition, by creating a less compaction prone growing medium. This helps turf cope better with stress brought on by heat and overuse. Although verticutting and topdressing can be disruptive to play at times this cultural practice is necessary for the health of the greens and to have optimum putting green surfaces. The following is the aerification schedule for the rest of the summer: · September 8th – 10th Final Aerification

TARA MASTER COMMUNICATION MESSAGE FROM KIM LOSKOTA, PRESIDENT Dear Tara Residents, September brings a change of pace to Florida as summer begins to wind down – but hurricane season is still in full swing. This is a great time of year to enjoy our community while making sure our homes and properties are prepared. Board Activities: The annual budget process is an important part of maintaining our community and planning for 2027 will begin this month. We have a strong Finance committee that will assist in planning the budget. The next TMA board meeting is September 24th at 12:00pm via Teams or in person at the Preserve Community Center. Landscape Committee: June Accident Update – Light Pole on Tara Blvd. Following the accident that occurred on Tara Blvd. in June, we have been working with our management company, Resource Property Management, and the insurance company regarding the damage to one of our light poles. We are currently awaiting approval from the insurance company to remove the damaged pole from the median and expect this soon. We appreciate your continued patience since dealing with insurance companies takes time. We are also working with our electrical company to order a replacement pole and light fixture. It will take approximately 18–20 weeks just to obtain the material from the supplier. We will continue to provide updates as the replacement process moves forward. Did You Know? You Can Call 311! Did you know that you can contact Manatee County’s 311 service to report issues such as damaged sidewalks, potholes in the street, tree limbs hanging over roadways or sidewalks and clogged storm drains? The TMA Landscape Committee encourages residents to report these issues directly rather than waiting for someone else to do so. A quick call to 311 can help bring attention to problems and get them addressed more quickly. If you see something that needs attention, make the call—your report can make a difference! Traffic Concerns: Speeding on Tara Boulevard continues to be a concern for residents and can create dangerous conditions for drivers, pedestrians, and others using the roadway. Residents who observe speeding are encouraged to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office 24-hour traffic complaint hotline at 941-723-5197 and leave a message with the location and time of day when the speeding is occurring.

HOUSE COMMIT TEE MESSAGE FROM KIM RANDOLPH kimkayrandolph@gmail.com Dear Members, The Clubhouse Refresh project continues to make strong progress throughout the clubhouse. The new bar is being installed, the beer lines have been completed, and the Grille Room is beginning to take on its updated look. Construction in the new lobby is underway, and new carpeting and painting have been finished in the administrative office. The construction team is working efficiently to keep the project on schedule and regain time lost earlier. The entire clubhouse is slated for completion by November 1, 2026, with some areas expected to finish sooner. Please watch for continued updates from management and the House Committee. We thank all Tara members for their patience and understanding as we work to enhance and beautify our club. As many Tara members know, our Golf Professional Melissa Williams qualified for the U.S. Senior Women’s Open in Barton, Michigan. To support Missy and help offset her expenses for this prestigious tournament, the House Committee organized ticket sales and held two fundraising drawings. Congratulations to Denise Tomlinson and Bill Seiler, winners of the drawings, who generously donated a portion of their winnings back to Missy. Special thanks go to Jodie Lawson, Denise Tomlinson, Kim Randolph, and John Bourjaily for their efforts in selling tickets and making this fundraiser a success. Did you know members can order food for pickup or have meals delivered right to their home? What a convenient way to enjoy your favorite dishes! And don’t forget — Wednesday Burger Night is just $7. A delicious mid‑week deal you won’t want to miss. We also encourage you to continue filling out the email surveys you receive after making a reservation. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand what members enjoy and where we can improve. Thank you for showing kindness and respect as we all work together to make our community a truly special place. If you have compliments or concerns for the House Committee, please email them to kimkayrandolph@gmail.com. Your input helps us keep improving and ensures every voice is heard. Sincerely,

Kim Randolph

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Member Spotlight – Lynn & Bob Dallesandro Lynn and Bob Dallesandro have called Tara home for more than 20 years, after relocating from Long Island, New York. After exploring communities throughout South Florida, Lynn and Bob chose Tara because they recognized it as the best value and fit for their lifestyle. Married for over 55 years, they are proud parents of three sons and grandparents to four grandchildren. Both Lynn and Bob have made lasting contributions to the Tara community through their extensive volunteer service. Bob has served in several key leadership roles, including President of the Tara Board of Directors (2017– 2018), Chairman of the Finance Committee (2012–2013), and President of the Tara Master Association Board (2014–2015). Throughout his service, Bob focused on maintaining low assessments while ensuring a strong financial position with adequate reserves. He also played an instrumental role in working with the General Manager during a major renovation project, helping transition the tennis courts from cement to a safer, more player-friendly Har-Tru surface. Lynn’s involvement has been equally impactful. She has served on numerous committees, including Communications, Long Range Planning, and House. Eight years ago, she developed the Welcome Task Force, a group dedicated to helping new members feel at home in Tara. Lynn took great joy in introducing newcomers to the community and encouraging them to get involved. Her message to new members is simple but meaningful: “Get involved. This is your new home.” Known for her generous spirit, Lynn is always ready to lend a hand— whether to the community or to friends. An active participant in Tara’s lifestyle, Lynn has embraced nearly every activity the club offers, including golf with the Niners, tennis, bocce, pickleball, water aerobics, yoga, line dancing, and dance exercise. As Lynn often says, “It’s just another beautiful day in paradise at Tara.” Beyond Tara, both Lynn and Bob have dedicated their time to volunteering in the greater community. Their service includes work in the emergency room at Doctor’s Hospital, as well as volunteering with Turning Points in downtown Bradenton and the Chamber of Commerce.
