PRESIDENT
Tara Board of Directors
In the October 27th Board of Directors meeting the Board voted to adopt the 2026 operating budget. The budget includes a 4% increase for class “A” Members and a 5% increase for class “B” Members, also the 35 AIM Members will be paying a premium of 15% above the class “A” Owner’s fees. The added revenue will ensure that we will be able to continue to keep our owner’s experience at a very high level. The Board also approved an increase to the RCCA fee to equal the class “A” and class “B” Member annual assessment. In 2026 our reserve account will be funded out of operations $550,000.00 plus another $250,000.00 from anticipated RCCA fees for a total of $800,000.00. Your Board is always challenging management to come up with improved processes and better efficiencies to keep our costs as manageable as possible.
I am anticipating the upcoming clubhouse refresh and remodel to start after the first of the year. We are still working on the final details and are in the permitting process. Once this project is started it will take approximately 9 months to complete. There will be no added special assessment to fund this project, as our current cash flow will be able to service the new debt.
The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for January 26th, at 3:00pm.
I wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season.

TARA’S MISSION: To provide an exceptional private country club experience while maintaining the club’s reputation as a financially sound and highly valued community where members enjoy outstanding golf, vibrant amenities and social camaraderie.

TARA’S VISION: Tara Golf & Country Club will be the most desirable private club in the Sarasota/Bradenton area in terms of value, quality of its golf course, its wide range of amenities and its member-friendly culture.

MESSAGE FROM DAVID TAYLOR, GENERAL MANAGER dtaylor@taragcc.com
Tara Golf and Country Club Members,
As we step into December, I’m reminded once again of just how special this time of year is at Tara. It’s a season filled with warmth, reflection, and the kind of togetherness that makes this community feel more like family than anything else. And this year, we have a wonderful lineup of traditions that continue to bring us all closer.

First, we look forward to welcoming everyone to our Hanukkah Dinner on December 18th . This gathering has always been a beautiful expression of celebration and respect—an evening where we honor tradition, share stories, and enjoy the comfort of good food and great company. It’s one of those nights where the light, quite literally, seems to glow just a little brighter.
The very next evening, Friday, December 19th , we come together again for one of Tara’s most joyful traditions: our Annual Golf Cart Parade . If you’ve experienced it before, you know just how much fun it is—creativity on full display, laughter echoing through the community, and members of all ages coming out to enjoy the spectacle. It’s always extremely well-attended, always unforgettable, and always a reminder of how spirited this place truly is.
As we get closer to the holiday, we invite you to join us for our beloved Christmas Eve Brunch . This event fills up quickly every year, and for good reason. There’s something about gathering on that morning—families arriving with smiles, friends greeting one another with warmth—that sets the perfect tone for the days ahead. If you’re planning to attend, please make your reservation early so we can ensure everyone has a place at the table.
And then, as the year comes to a close, we finish strong with an evening worthy of the calendar turning. New Year’s Eve at Tara will once again feature a beautiful dinner for those who enjoy starting the night with a refined and festive celebration. And for those who prefer to carry the energy well past midnight, you’re welcome to stay for our separate New Year’s Eve Bash —a chance to dance, laugh, and welcome 2026 with the spirit and enthusiasm this community is known for.
My friends, December at Tara is a moment in time—a chance to pause, to breathe, and to enjoy one another. Thank you for the kindness you show, the traditions you uphold, and the community you continue to build with each passing season. We look forward to celebrating with you all month long.
Warmest wishes to you and your families,
Respectfully,
David Taylor

As we approach the holiday season, the entire Team at Tara Golf & Country Club would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all Members for your generous contributions to the Employee Holiday Fund. Your kindness and support make it possible for us to celebrate the season and show appreciation to our hardworking team.
Each year, a contribution per household is applied toward the fund, unless a Member chooses to opt out prior to the end of the November billing cycle. The total amount collected is then distributed among our 80 Team Members, based on hours worked throughout the year. This gesture means so much to our Team and truly reflects the wonderful spirit of the Tara community.
We’d also like to remind Members with renters arriving this season to ensure transfer forms are completed and submitted PRIOR YOUR RENTER’S ARRIVAL. Having these ready helps us make the check-in process smooth and efficient, especially as we head into the busy month of January.
Lastly, for those who have any changes to make IN THE MEMBER DIRECTORY BOOK , please fill out the form emailed earlier in November so that we can reflect those changes in the book. CHANGES MADE TO YOUR PROFILE ON THE WEBSITE DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY SYNC WITH OUR MEMBER DIRECTORY BOOK.
If you’ve made changes on the website profile, be sure to also email member-file@taragcc.com so we can make the corresponding updates in the printed directory, which will be released in the February–March timeframe.
Thank you again for your generosity, cooperation, and continued support. From all of us at Tara, we wish you a warm and joyful holiday season!

Dear Tara Members,

The jolly holidays are upon us, and so is a busy golf course. Please note that we will be doing an 8:30 shotgun start for Christmas Eve and closed on Christmas day.
The Club Essentials tee time system offers two methods for making tee times. The app is the best option, as it is user-friendly and provides a smoother experience. While you can also use the desktop version through the Member website, the app includes better features. We are currently addressing some bugs with the new system, and we appreciate your patience during this transition. If you happen to have any issues, please share your feedback. Additionally, if you haven’t logged into the new Member website yet, please do so, as it is the only way to access the new Tara app. We will be scheduling some tutorials for the app very soon.
Upcoming course maintenance: Please don’t be caught off guard by course maintenance! December 9th and December 23rd. If your usual tee times fall on Tuesdays, please seek other days to play. The morning might have some openings, but it’s the 18-hole ladies league that will take up the majority of the morning. There are plenty of other days to try and play other than those scheduled maintenance practices.
The golf cart staging area has been expanded to provide more space for staging and room for the golfers to be safer. Please remember to park private golf carts behind the clubhouse and not in the staging area. This area is essential during the busy season, and we appreciate your cooperation.
Thank you!

MESSAGE FROM DON ABELL, COURSE
SUPERINTENDENT

Golf course maintenance will over seed the par 3 Tee’s and the driving range tee starting on December 9th. The reason Tara over seeds these areas is that the rye grass is a cool season grass that will not go dormant during the cold months and it can handle the wear traffic from all the golfers. The par 3 tees get many divots and foot traffic in season and the Bermuda grass would become worn down very quickly and get thin. The rye grass will remain actively growing and stay green during the winter months. The process actually starts a couple of weeks before the seed is put on the course. On November 25th, a pre-emergent herbicide is applied around the par 3 tees with drop spreaders to help prevent rye grass from germinating outside the target zone. The rye seed will be applied, fertilized and watered heavy for the first 10 days. Once the seed is germinated, mowing will take place to encourage the growth of the rye grass. This process is tedious but when the rye grass has germinated the results are impressive. When standing on the par 3 tees the golfer can see a distinct line between the over seeded tee and the rough due to the preemergent application. The whole overseed process is used to enhance the aesthetics of the golf course as well as the playability during the cold winter months for the golfer. Enjoy this year’s overseed

As I conclude my first month here at Tara Golf and Country Club, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to each of you for the warm welcome I have received. It has truly been a pleasure getting to know so many of you and becoming part of such a wonderful community. Tara is a remarkable club, and it is evident that its strength lies in the camaraderie and kindness of its Members and Neighbors.

With the holiday season now in full swing, our dining venues are becoming increasingly lively. The Culinary Team has been creating some exceptional offerings, including the ever-popular Curry Chicken Salad, along with a selection of festive, holiday-inspired desserts and cocktails. We hope you will join us in celebrating the season and enjoying these special dishes.
As we continue to enhance our service and overall dining experience, I kindly ask that if you encounter any issues with your meal or service, please bring them to my or Braeden’s attention during your visit. This allows us the opportunity to address any concerns promptly and ensure your time with us is as enjoyable as possible. Also, as many of you know, we have recently switched to a new system for taking orders. If you are not receiving your receipts from dining, please let me or your server know. The new system requires us to flip a switch to send emails. We must do it to each individual Member account.
Once again, thank you for your hospitality and support. I look forward to sharing a wonderful holiday season with all of you and to the many great experiences ahead here at Tara Golf and Country Club.
Even if you didn’t know his name, you’ll probably recognize Braeden as he’s been a member of the TGCC Food & Beverage Team for over 5 years. He is a testament to how much Tara appreciates and supports its Team when they perform at such a high level.
Braeden, pronounced just like the first part of the city we call home, started as a food runner, moved up to expo, then head expo and now he’s the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. In this role, Braeden can leverage the expertise and relationships he has with the entire back house staff to ensure that you, the Member, get the best customer service experience when dining or drinking at the club. Braeden is excited that this new role will enable him to interact more directly with the Members. He loves that

this job is not routine and that every day is different, whether it be a new event, new people to engage with or something new on the menu. One of his passions is having everything come together, like a well-executed event with food and drink arriving timely. Now he’ll even be more likely to see and hear the positive feedback from the Members themselves.
On a personal note, Braeden is a local boy, having moved with his family from Virginia to Bradenton when he was 12. He suffered from many jokes during his years at Braden River High School for having the same name as the first word of the school. Forget Shaff, they called him Braeden River. He now lives very close to Tara with his wife, a 5-yr old son named Levi, his dog and two cats. He loves living so close to his job and Tara loves it too because, if needed, he can be readily available. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, Braeden loves tinkering with electronics. He has an IT background and for fun he'll rip apart a computer, tablet or phone and then put it back together! Make a point to reach out to Braeden if you need anything while sipping and dining or if you just want to tell him “Nice job”!

December at Tara: A Month of Joy, Cheer, and Community
As we enter the holiday season, we’re looking forward to a wonderful month of joy, cheer, and community here at Tara! November was filled with special moments — from honoring our veterans at the Veterans Day Dinner and thanking our Tara Members who have served in the Armed Forces, to kicking off bocce season with nearly 300 Members and 32 teams and celebrating the start of our golf associations’ seasons with the TMGA, TWGA, and Niners. We also had an incredible turnout for our Thanksgiving Buffet, and it was wonderful to see so many Members enjoying the day together.
December brings even more festive spirit! We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Program through December 7th, and our Food Drive for Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee will run from December 8th through December 29th. Members can drop off non-perishable dry goods to help local families in need this holiday season.
On Thursday, December 18th, we’ll be hosting our Hanukkah Dinner, where we warmly welcome all Members to come and enjoy this festive gathering together.
On December 19th, join us for our Christmas Cart Parade—decorate your carts, vote for your favorites, and enjoy themed cocktails and festive goodies during the evening. Don’t forget, it’s also National Ugly Sweater Day, so wear your most festive sweater and get in the holiday spirit!
We’ll celebrate with a Christmas Eve Brunch on December 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and close the year with our New Year’s Eve Dinner and Bash on December 31st. Enjoy a three-course plated dinner with violinist Matt Dendy from 6–8 p.m., followed by the Bash from 8:30 p.m.–12:30 a.m. featuring DJ Lloyd from LC3 Entertainment and SRQ Photo Booth to capture the memories. Let’s ring in 2026 with a bang!
Happy Holidays from all of us at Tara Golf & Country Club!
Warm regards,
Olivia Baldassari

Dear Tara Residents,
The 2026 TMA budget has been finalized. Please look for the annual dues statement, which will be mailed at the beginning of December. This statement will reflect a small increase due to higher Comcast and other TMA-related costs. Payments are due on January 1, 2026. We appreciate your timely payment, as it helps minimize the need for follow-ups on late accounts.
The TMA Board, like any HOA board, is composed of volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping our community running smoothly. Given the time commitment involved, we kindly ask homeowners to be mindful of our limited availability. For any questions or concerns, please reach out directly to our property manager for the most efficient response at: Sarasota@condominiumassociates.com
The TMA wishes you all a healthy and joyful holiday season!
Sincerely,
Kim Loskota President Tara Master Association

The TMA Landscape Committee Members are Deb King, Chris Hoskinson, Marian Murdoch and Bob O’Tain. The committee’s primary responsibilities are for the landscaping, irrigation, electrical & wells for Tara Boulevard from State Road 70 to Tara Preserve Lane. If you are interested in joining this team, please email the committee at tmalandscaping1.com . We are always looking for interested Members.
In November, the following was accomplished:
• Some sod & viburnum plants along Tara Blvd were replaced.
• The mulched areas were refreshed.
• New flowers at the ends of all the medians and at the front entrance were planted.
• The white vinyl fence east of Tara Blvd on Stone River Rd was pressure washed.
All the above improvements were completed either under warranty or within budgeted funds.
As we enter the winter months, you will notice less landscaping activity due to the colder temperatures; normal maintenance will continue.
The holiday lights have been installed at the entrance of Tara Blvd. The display will be lit from after Thanksgiving through mid-January. We encourage Residents to view the display and the committee welcomes your ideas for future improvements. Please use the email address above to communicate with us.
• The amount of trash along Tara Blvd is excessive. When out walking, we would appreciate your help with picking up trash.
• Dog owners, please always remove your dog’s droppings from the area.
• Please remember pedestrians have the right of way on sidewalks. When riding a bike or driving a golf cart, please slow down, pull over and let pedestrians pass.
• Please keep your animals safe! Manatee County has a leash law and dogs must always be on a leash; cats should also not wander freely in the neighborhood.
• Please slow down when driving on Tara Blvd - remember, the speed limit is 30 MPH.
Wishing you a magical and blissful holiday season!
Best Regards,
Karen Cardozo

We’ve been extremely fortunate this year in avoiding hurricanes — a much-needed break after last year’s challenges. For those of you still working with insurance companies or contractors, and who may have received a violation notice, please let us know your situation so we can assist where possible.
Single-family home inspections have been completed. We will now begin inspections for condos and villas, with the goal of finishing by early January.
Please ensure that your trash bins are stored in your garage or in an area not visible from the front of your home — and from the back if your property faces the golf course.
Let’s all do our part to keep our community clean and beautiful! Please avoid littering within our neighborhoods, along Tara Boulevard, and around the perimeter of TGCC.
On behalf of the TARA ARC Committee, we wish you a joyous and peaceful holiday season. Happy 2026!

We continue to welcome back members along with welcoming Tara new Members to the club. In addition, we are welcoming some new Team Members in the kitchen and service Team. Please be patient as they learn the Members and may ask for either your name or Member number.
The House Committee would like to welcome Bryan Allen who is the new Food & Beverage Director at Tara. Bryan comes to Tara with many year of Food & Beverage experience as well as being a chef. I am sure he will be a asset to the Food & Beverage Team.
The House Refresh sub committee along with Tara Management and Board Members continue to work with the contractor, architect, and engineering firm to respond to the questions sent back to Tara from Manatee County. The various reviews have caused a delay in the start of the construction. That email is: tara.admin@taragcc.com This email will be monitored by the House Committee team.

With the holidays fast approaching, please remember to make your reservations for the various events at Tara as we book up quickly. Wing Saturday along with Burger Wednesday are still going and will continue. Please make sure you read the email from Bryan Allen on the reservation policy.

We would like to thank the residents of Tara for their generosity to this year's Breast Cancer Golf Outing. We raised $30,332 for the My Breast Frienda 941. All of this money will stay in the local area to help women with Breast Cancer.

As we wrap up a beautiful fall season in Taradise, the Social Committee wants to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Residents. Because of your generosity, spirit, and willingness to show up for one another, we didn’t just meet our Answer to Cancer fundraising goal — we surpassed it in true Tara fashion! Our target was $4,000, and together we raised an incredible $5,362.
Every dollar directly supports vital research focused on breast cancer metastasizing in older adults. Thank you again for helping make such a meaningful impact.
We also want to extend our sincere appreciation for the strong turnout for our Veteran’s Day Celebration. Your participation, applause, and heartfelt recognition of our Tara Veterans made the day both powerful and memorable. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and honored our heroes.
A December to Remember Coming Up
Your Social Committee and the Club have teamed up to create a festive and fun-filled December calendar. Here are some highlights you won’t want to miss:
Toys for Tots : Collection through December 7
Manatee Food Bank and Meals on Wheels Drive: Help support local families throughout the holiday season with much-needed items and meal support.
Hanukkah Celebration on December 18
Join us for games, delicious potato pancakes, and great company. Everyone is invited. You do not need to celebrate Hanukkah to enjoy the festivities.
Holly Jolly Golf Cart Parade with Bobby Stillwell on December 19
Get ready for one of Tara’s most festive nights of the year. We have planned an evening full of cheer to make this event brighter than ever. Golf cart judging begins at 5:30 PM, and we would love for members not participating in the parade to serve as our judges. Simply show up, enjoy the creativity, and cast your vote for your favorites.
After the carts take off, head into the Clubhouse for drink specials and holiday mingling. When the parade loops back around, join us outside to cheer them on during their final festive swoop behind the Clubhouse in the dark — a crowd favorite moment. Then we’ll all head inside for Bobby Stillwell and dancing to wrap up this magical night together.
Warmly,
Jodi Schleter
