MESSAGE FROM CURTIS KNIGHT
cknight@hampton.golf
Greetings all! I hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season and a great 2024 overall and is ready to drive and thrive in 2025. I’d like to personally welcome everyone to our newest form of communication for Pass Holders, Residents, and Guests - Edition #1 of The Links Club Newsletter!
The Team and I have been listening to some feedback and engaging in some brainstorming. One of the things we’ve heard over the past year or so is our Patrons’ desire of the ability to get some information straight from the source rather than through the grapevine, which everyone knows is generally entertaining, as it is almost always a carrier of misinformation. We’ve been working on additional ways to communicate, and a quarterly newsletter might go a long way in this area. It isn’t what you’d call a “finished” product by any means and will likely undergo multiple variations and changes until we get the content right. We will gladly consider any requests our patrons pass along regarding what information they’d like included in each edition. Anything from course conditions to staffing changes to ongoing projects will be considered valuable topics, but information should not be restricted to just those items. We anticipate communicating a better sense of who we are and what we aim to be and promote an enhanced culture of comradery throughout the property. I hope everyone gets excited to enjoy the benefits of a friendlier and more open environment moving forward.
That’s all for now – let’s have a great start to 2025!

MESSAGE FROM RICK KERR
rkerr@hampton.golf
Please allow me to formally introduce myself: my name is Rick Kerr, and I am thrilled to be your new Superintendent at The Links Club! I accepted this position approximately 4 months ago, and while I have met many of you already, there are still some that I have yet to introduce myself to. Hopefully, this introduction will suffice until then. The Links Club leadership and I have evaluated the immediate, mid-range, and long-term goals of improving our course’s playability and aesthetics. We’re off to a good start in addressing some pretty serious needs. You should see some significant changes during the upcoming months.
In December, we overseeded tee boxes, fairways, and greens complexes. Each day, the winter grass seems to get thicker, fuller, and healthier. The greens will require ongoing maintenance (topdressing and reseeding) to ensure a great strand of winter grass throughout the golf season. I would ask you to kindly help the entire crew by observing the 90-degree cart rule, filling in all divots, and repairing at least three ball marks on every green.
I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who has made me feel so valued and welcomed since I joined, and I look forward to reciprocating your support in the months and years ahead.
MESSAGE FROM BOB RIED
bried@hampton.golf
Hello, everyone - my name is Bob Ried, and I am the Assistant General Manager and Head Golf Professional here at The Links Club. I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season and that we’re ready to play some golf! The Team here at the club is looking forward to a busy golf season and seeing everyone enjoy themselves out on our Terry Dossdesigned 18-hole gem. The course is rounding into shape as our new superintendent has put the gas to the floor growing our winter grass.
For those wanting to expand their golfing circle, I invite you to check out our open leagues here at the club. For the ladies, we have league play on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For our men, we have options available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. There is no commitment for any league, and you can pick and choose when you’d like to play. Just ask the Golf Shop Team for more information.
Below is the 2025 golf calendar! The majority of our events are open to everyone, so we encourage you to participate. You can even call your friends and tell them to check us out! We are looking to add some events throughout the calendar year, so keep your eyes peeled. Additionally, if there is something you’d like to see us try that would make sense for the club while enhancing your experience here, please feel free to give us a shout.
Once again, we look forward to having a great golf season and can’t wait to see each of you again soon. See you at The Links!
MESSAGE FROM VICTOR GIERACH
Hello everyone! This is Victor Gierach! Just a word (or four) about what we have done to the golf course buildings and structures in no particular order:
• We have upgraded the lighting in most of the buildings and the clubhouse. Hopefully, this will enhance the atmosphere while making everyone feel safer.
• We are working on improving the landscaping around the clubhouse, cart facility, and 10th tee marquee sign. It should “spruce” up the area nicely, and yes - pun definitely intended there!
• We have moved the handicapped parking area closer to the building to assist our Patrons with a safer, easier, and more accessible path into both the golf shop and The Links Pub. The formerly reserved spaces are no longer restricted and may be utilized by anyone visiting the property.
Lastly, I want to personally thank everyone who cherishes and supports us daily here at the club. We have our share of challenges, just like every other club, but the wonderful people here make The Links Club just a little bit different. Thanks to all. Happy New Year, and let’s all have a great 2025!
Welcome to our brand-new newsletter and the area that deals with all things food and beverage! My name is Bob Frazier, and I am the lead bartender at The Links Pub.
For those unfamiliar with how The Links Pub functions, we offer a comfortable “pub-style” environment to enjoy a relaxing drink and a light meal any time of the day. The bar is open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, while the restaurant (kitchen) hours are Monday – Saturday, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The full bar can handle just about any drink, while the food menu consists of a light fare of appetizers, sandwiches, and baskets. We also frequently have some daily food specials - all prepared by Michele’s Cuisine.
The Pub has live entertainment featuring several local artists on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of our happy hour from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm daily. Come on in, have a “pop” or two, enjoy some music, and grab a bite - it’s a blast!
Additionally, if you need a place to hold your next private event, please think of us. We can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people, while Michele’s offers a diverse selection of banquet-style food at a very affordable price. If you haven’t done it yet, come check us out soon!
