Out of Bounds

RULES OF PLAY

USGA Rules of Golf govern all play.

• Defined by the line between the course-side points at ground level of white stakes, fence posts, or white lines.

• Model Local Rule E-5 is in effect. (Alternative to Stroke and Distance for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds) For a penalty of two strokes, player may drop within two club lengths at the nearest fairway edge perpendicular to where original ball was lost or out of bounds, no closer to the hole.

Penalty Areas

• All Penalty Areas are defined as red or further defined by red stakes and/or lines. In the absence of lines, the Penalty Area is identified by stakes.

Abnormal Course Conditions

• Staked young trees are abnormal course conditions. Player may take relief under Rule 16.1 – one club-length free relief.

• Artificially surfaced roads and paths, including their artificial borders, are considered Obstructions from which relief is available under Rule 16.1 – one clublength free relief.

• Natural cart paths (waste areas) – no relief.

• Dangerous Animal Conditions – Player may take relief under Rule 16.2b from interference by a dangerous animal condition no matter where their ball is on the Golf Course. Keep a safe distance between you and wildlife at all times.

Dangerous Weather Conditions

• Please seek the nearest shelter or indoor space at the first sign of threatening weather conditions.
