Daily, before starting.

1 Check oil level

Turn the engine off. The dipstick is located on the starboard side of the engine.

2 Oil level

The oil level must be at or near the upper mark on the dipstick1]. If necessary top up with the same brand and type of oil. [1] The difference between the two oil level marks is: 0.8 litres (1.4 UK pt, 1.7 US pt)

3 Topping up oil

The oil filling cap is on top of the valve cover.
