1 Introduction

1.1 About this Service and Warranty Manual:

The Service and Warranty Manual is a document that informs you about the VETUS Service Organization and can thus make a considerable contribution to your cruising pleasure!

This Service and Warranty Manual accompanies the Operating Manual.

Before operating your engine for the first time, it is important that you study the contents of both Manuals.

The VETUS dealer, distributor or importer providing the service should record in this Service Manual all maintenance and repair work.

Keeping the records in this Service Manual up to date is the responsibility of the owner.

1.2 About the Delivery Inspection:

Your engine has been inspected by your VETUS dealer or importer. The delivery inspection is a condition of the validity of the warranty.

Check that the installation form has been completed in full and that this Manual has been signed by the person who carried out the inspection. 1.3 About the VETUS B.V. Service Organization:

The VETUS Service Organization is the organization you can go to for advice, inspection and service work, obtaining parts, for repairs and for processing warranty claims.

1.4 About the Warranty:

In order to qualify for a warranty on engines a completed and signed Service Manual must be presented. For engine components a copy of the purchase invoice serves as evidence of the validity of the Warranty. Any remaining Warranty may be transferred to a new owner.

1.5 About the Warranty Cover:

VETUS guarantees the quality of the product supplied as well as the materials supplied by them.

Faults will be resolved by VETUS by repair or replacement (to be determined by VETUS) of the faulty components, at a place determined by VETUS, during normal working hours.

This warranty coverage is in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of Delivery and Sale.
