SERVICING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Prior to welding on any part of the machine, it should be cleaned and a fire extinguisher should be made available at the welding location. Care must be taken in attaching the welding machine grounding clamp so electrical current does not pass through bearings, especially the center joint bearing. This machine is equipped with sensitive electronic control equipment, prior to welding:-
Conduct maintenance inspections at least as frequently as recommended in SECTION 3 of the OPERATOR'S MANUAL. When servicing or repairing equipment, shut the engine down, and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from both batteries. Install a “DO NOT START ENGINE” sign on the operator’s cab door and in the engine compartment when making repairs to the machine.

BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH
Turn Battery Disconnect Switch (1) to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-)
battery cable (2) from both batteries.
DISCONNECT MULTI PIN CONNECTORS
Before performing maintenance or repair work on any equipment, consult the manufacturer’s instruction manual and follow recommended procedures. The radiator and the engine cooling system should be cleaned and serviced at least daily to maintain moderate engine temperatures.

If the fan switch in the cab is in the AUTO position, the fan could turn ON and/or go into REVERSE mode. 726D-017 DISCONNECT PIN CONNECTORS Disconnect the engine CPU (Central Processing Unit) and engine wiring harness by unplugging the multi-pin connectors.

DISCONNECT MULTI PIN CONNECTORS PLUS 1 CONTROLLER
726D-056 DISCONNECT PIN CONNECTORS Disconnect the Plus 1 Control (Fan Control Module) by unplugging the 2 multi-pin connectors.
