LIFT BOOM CYLINDER LOCK

1. Before performing work under the attachment or lift boom, firmly support the attachment on level ground, on solid stands or install the lift boom cylinder lock.

C Lift Boom Cylinder Gland 5. Install the 'T' handle retaining bolt through the center hole in the lift boom cylinder lock.

Do not stand under the boom or the attachment while installing the lift boom cylinder lock.

Do not damage the cylinder piston rod when installing the lift boom cylinder lock.

A Cylinder Lock (Storage Location)

The lift boom cylinder lock is stored on the inside of the rear pump compartment door.

WARNING

Install the lift boom lock before working on or around machine with the boom raised.

Install the 'T' handle retainer bolt.

Use only to support the boom and the attachment.

2. Completely raise the lift boom. 3. Turn OFF the engine. 4. Place the lift boom cylinder lock over one of the two cylinder rods with the open side facing down and wide end against the lift boom cylinder gland.

A Interlock Reset Switch

6. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position and press and release the interlock reset switch.

7. Slowly lower the boom until the lift boom cylinder lock is securely in place. 8. Turn OFF the engine. To remove the lift boom cylinder lock: 1. Start the engine. 2. Press and release the interlock reset switch.

3. Raise the boom enough to relieve the pressure on the lift boom cylinder lock. 4. Turn OFF the engine. 5. Remove the 'T' handle retainer bolt, remove the lift boom cylinder lock and store it on the machine.

Do not stand under the boom or the attachment while removing the lift boom cylinder lock.
