Checking the Suction Air System Suction air system

Note:

If a suction air system part has been mounted by the main unit manufacturer, see the main unit manual. The suction air system consists of an air cleaner, suction air line, and turbo charger or the like.Suction air enters the engine through the air cleaner and intake manifold.

1 Check whether the air cleaner is excessively dirty or clogged. Was a problem detected? - Go to step 2. Go to step 3.

2 Clean or replace the air cleaner. Is the action complete? - Go to step 3. -

3 1. Check the suction air line for crushing, damage, and air leaking. 2. Confirm that the suction air line is a genuine part. ・ Check for any bending or inappropriate lines that may contribute to increased suction air resistance. 3. Inspect for any lead valve damage. Was a problem detected? - Go to step 4. Go to step 5.

5 Repair or replace the suction air line or lead valve. Is the action complete? 1. Inspect the turbo charger. ・ Is any abnormal rattling occurring with the turbine shaft? ・ Is there any oil leaking?

6 Repair or replace the turbo charger.
