Warnings

Observe the warnings on the battery, in the instructions of use of the battery and in the operating manual.

Wear eye-protecting googles

Keep children away from acids and batteries

Risk of explosion

Battery charging produces a highy explosive oxyhydrogen gas mixture.

Fire, sparks, unshielded light and smoking are prohibited

• Avoid producing sparks when handling cables and electrical equipment.

• Avoid short-circuits.

Risk of injury from caustic substances

• The battery is highly caustic, therefore:

• wear protective gloves and goggles;

• do not tilt the battery to avoid acid from flowing out of the degassing openings

First aid

• When the eyes haven been splashed with acid, rinse immediately for several minutes with clear water Consult a doctor immediately thereafter.

• Neutralize splashes of acid on the skin or on the clothing immediately with anti-acid or soap solution and rinse with water thereafter.

Warning note

Do not expose batteries unprotected to direct sunlight. Discharged batteries can freeze in and must therfore be stored in a frost-protected places.
