5 Safety Instructions
Read and follow the operator's manual and the safety instructions before putting the machine into operation! DESIGNATED USE
The CLAAS ROTARY TEDDER is exclusively built for nor- mal use for agricultural work (correct use). The tedder is designed and intended for use in col-lecting cut stem crops lying on the ground. Use in any other way is considered as contrary to the intended use. The manufacturer does not accept any liability for such use; the user accepts all risk arising from such use. Designated use also includes observing the service, maintenance and repair conditions as prescribed by the manufacturer. The CLAAS ROTARY TEDDER may only be used, main- tained and repaired by persons who are familiar with this work and who have been instructed about the dangers involved. Observe the pertinent accident prevention regula- tions and other generally acknowledged regulations regarding safety and occupational health, as well as the regulations and standards relevant to motor vehicles and traffic. Modification of the machine without proper authority preclude any manufacturer's liability for damage resulting from any such modifications.

An adequate safe distance must be maintained from the cutting tools while working!
