4.2.4 ADJUSTING BRAKE PEDAL

(1) Make the brake valve's push rod short. (2) Adjust the pedal height with the stopper bolt as shown in Figure 4.25. (3) With the pedal pressed by the free travel, extend the push rod to let the push rod end contact the brake valve piston. (4) Tighten the push rod lock nut.

■ Adjusting brake switch (1) Make sure the brake pedal height is the value shown in Figure 4.25, and then loosen the brake switch lock nut. (2) Disconnect the brake switch lead wire from the connector. (3) Turn the switch and adjust the size of part A to 1mm (0.04 in). (4) Make sure the brake lamp comes on when the brake pedal is pressed by the free travel.
