Entering a Manual Position
A Restart should be done when the state of the longwall has not changed since the time when SRB was canceled. This is usually the case when SRB has been canceled by a network break, Quickstop, or because SRB was switched off.
An SRB Restart can only be done if the SRB key’s LED is flashing and the P-key is flashing.

At this point, the operator can choose to do an SRB Restart or Newstart. Just because a Restart is allowed does not prevent a Newstart from being done. If a Newstart is desired, the keystrokes described in the Newstart section should be followed. To continue with the SRB Restart, press the P-key as follows:

When the Restart is selected, all shields in the SRB Area (defined by parameters "Beginning Shield" and "Ending Shield") will "notice-beep" and will show the SRB Start Warning display message. When SRB is active, the 9-key’s led will be lit solid.

A new manual position can only be entered if the Star key” is flashing. It will only flash on 6 shields ahead of the existing position until the turn point is reached. Then it will flash on 6 shields in both directions so that the position can be moved in the opposite direction.
