The crawler chain (track) should be checked for wear and correct tension at regular intervals. See the Crawler track adjustment procedure in the Adjustment section of this manual for instructions.
Every 200 hours of tram operation
After every 200 hours of tram operation, change the oil in the tram reducer.
1. Position the reducer so that the drain hole (Fig. 46) is at the lowest position.
2. Remove the fill and drain plugs and drain the oil from the reducer.
3. Replace the drain plug.
4. Add oil (Spec. 100-2 or 100-13) through the fill plug until oil flows from the check plug.
