Inspection and servicing

Filling in hydraulic oil

Hydraulic oil is filled by means of the service station (Fig. 3-89:).

The oil level is also displayed on the BCSscreen (Fig. 3-91:).

Vent the hydraulic system.

Check the oil level in the hydraulic oil reservoir. Top up with oil, if required.

Unscrew the hose line. The express coupling closes automatically.

Screw protective cap back in place.

Unscrew cap of express coupling (10).

The use of the hose line is described under "hose line for oil and cooling-lequid changes". Connect filling hose express coupling of the service vehicle. Fill in hydraulic oil until the oil level lies between the ½ and the ¾ marks of the inspection glass (1, Fig. 3-90:) (oil grade cf. "Refilling quantities - Oil").

Hydraulic oil can also be filled in through the return-flow filter.

Remove cover (3, Fig. 36).

Before fitting the cover (3), check the sealing ring and replace, if damaged.

Install cover.
