OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS RH RH170
Inspection and servicing
Withdraw plate assembly (12, Fig. 3-32:) from rotor (13).
The plates may have sharp edges.
Cleaning the centrifuge
Check the inside of the rotor housing.
Remove clip (14, Fig. 3-33:) and distributor plate (15).
Remove plates (16) and end plate (17) from distributor (18).
Remove any dirt deposits without damaging the surface of the rotor housing. If necessary, clean all centrifuge parts in diesel fuel. Remove all residual dirt particles with compressed air or an air/water pistol.
Adhering dirt unbalances the rotor and may damage the bearings.
Assembling the centrifuge
The plates (16, Fig. 22) have 4 possible opposing positions.
Place paper filter into the rotor cap (4, Fig. 3-32:).
Assembly is done in the reverse sequence to dismantling.
Run engines at idling speed for a short time and check centrifuge for leaks.
Shut off engines.
Check oil level after ca. 10 minutes; top up if necessary.
