Overview of the safety instructions

This is a summary of all the safety instructions which have to be observed in the following chapters. This summary is intended only to give you an overview of all the instructions. In some cases there is no logical relationship between the individual instructions. Chapter 3 Storage and transport Danger! You could be seriously injured or even killed by falling loads. Observe the safe working loads of the lifting eyes and keep at a safe distance to suspended loads.

Warning! Only use load handling devices which comply with the technical and legal regulations for the transport of loads. You could be seriously injured or even killed by falling loads. Only use suitable load handling devices. Only use approved lifting equipment!

Important! Take care to ensure that new supplies are stored separately from existing stock and that removal takes place on the "first in, first out" principle.

Chapter 4 Assembly Only use approved means for the attachment of haulage equipment. Working on chains which are under tension requires particular care. You could be seriously injured or killed by a jumping hydraulic hose! Make sure that nobody is present in the danger area during the test run of the impact roll crusher. In this phase, hazards may occur due to installation errors which would not occur during normal operation. These hazards could cause severe injuries or even death! Keep a safe distance to the impact roll crusher particularly during the test run. Warning! Make sure that nobody is present in the danger area when you start operating the impact roll crusher. During the first start-up, hazards could occur e.g. due to installation errors which would not occur during normal operation. Keep a safe distance to the impact roll crusher.

Caution! Serious damage can be caused to the impact roll crusher and the drives as a result of incorrect installation. It is vital that you observe the respective separate operating manuals (e.g. for gearboxes, motors, etc.).

Blows on the motor and gearbox shafts will damage the roller bearings. Therefore always use a mounting and pulling-off device for installation and removal of the coupling parts. A jammed up conveyor could result in serious damage to the drive. The sequence of operations during installation must be adapted to the individual conditions prevailing at the site. It is recommendable to prepare a list specifying the individual steps to follow for transport and assembly. Be sure to tighten the bolts to the specified torques. Chapter 5 Technical data and technical description Notice! Only use hydraulic fluids approved by DBT Mineral Processing. These fluids have been tested at DBT Mineral Processing and ensure a reliable operation of the hydraulic system.

Important! The tightening torques stated in the spare parts lists have to be observed, as well, for installation and maintenance. We expressly point out that the approval of the listed products relates only to the pure technical use in our hydraulic systems. The responsibility for the constituents used in the hydraulic concentrates lies solely with the respective manufacturer. Be sure to observe the manufacturer's instructions for use. Further important information is given in DIN 24320 respectively 51524 parts 1 and 2. The greases listed in the same table can be mixed. Other products may only be used if the supplier can guarantee that they are equivalent. Differently composed lubricating greases must not be mixed as this may change their consistency, i.e. the mixture can become thinner so that the lubrication effect is not sufficient. It is also not advisable to mix lubricants which have the same saponification base but are of different origin. In case of doubt. the manufacturer of the grease intended to be used for regreasing should be contacted as to the compatibility of the grease in question. The instructions for the use of the lubricating greases given also apply to the lubricating pastes. Chapter 6 Operation Danger! Incorrect operation endangers yourself and others! Incorrect operation of the machine is often the cause of very serious accidents! Operate the impact roll crusher only when you have been sufficiently trained with respect to the installed control units and have read and understood all the operating manuals for the impact roll crusher. Should anything be unclear please contact your superior.

Warning! Hydraulic fluids escaping under high pressure can cause serious injury or death. Be sure to depressurize the hydraulic system.

Report any damage, defective components or other faults to the responsible superior immediately. Dirt in the hydraulic system is a frequent cause of costly repairs. Dirt in the hydraulic system can result in serious damage to the whole hydraulic system. Always ensure that your working area is clean.

Important! Inspect and maintain all components of the hydraulic system such as e.g. pumps. Further important information is given in DIN 24320 respectively 51524 parts 1 and 2. The recommended maintenance intervals are to be regarded as standard values. Under special operating conditions, the maintenance intervals may be required to be shortened. Be sure to adapt the maintenance intervals to the individual operating conditions.

Safety zone for stage-loader with crusher

A safety zone must be provided ahead of the crusher permitting to immediately stop the crusher and conveyor in case of emergency.
