REPLACING A TOOL ON A HYDRAULIC BREAKER (optional)

Removal

CP99C005 1. Place the hydraulic breaker laying on hard, flat ground. 2. Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key.

CP99C007 4. Drive out the mounting pins with a bronze or brass drift.

CP99C006 3. Push the rubber plate upwards (if fitted). Remove the retaining pins and plugs from both sides of the hydraulic breaker.

CP99C008 5. Remove the tool. Use a lifting device if necessary. NOTE: If the hydraulic breaker is still on the machine, it may be easier to stick the tool in the ground and lift the hydraulic breaker off the tool. Make sure that the tool can not fall.

Installation

CP99C009 1. Check the tool bushing and oil seal for wear and replace them if necessary. See "Replacing a tool bushing on a hydraulic breaker". 2. Clean and coat the tool and mounting pins with grease.

CP99C011 5. Install the plugs and retaining pins. Put the rubber plate (if fitted) back at the bottom.

CP99C010 3. Insert the tool, aligning the grooves on the tool with the mounting pin holes. 4. Install the mounting pins and make sure the tool is secure.
