PROCEDURE OF USING THE CATALOGUE

The present Catalogue contains the main spectrum of the assembly units and parts of the D245S3A, D-245.2S3A, D-245.5S3A, D-245.43S3A diesel engines with fuel supply system “Common Rail”.

The assembly units and parts are divided into groups and subgroups in accordance with the position numbers on the figures that makes the search of the parts in the Catalogue considerably easier.

In the column “Description”, the indention system is applied. In the first line, the largest assembly unit is specified and then the parts it comprises are listed, for example:

Description

1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Component parts

Fasteners

Assembly units of the component part

Fasteners of the assembly unit

Smaller division

Fasteners etc.

The digits 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 indicate the belonging of the assembly units and parts to the parts and serve for finding them. The fasteners are listed immediately under the article (assembly unit), for fastening which they are used, their list precedes to enlistment of the parts comprised in this article. The fasteners are listed in the same column as the articles, which are fastened by means of those fasteners, under the header “Fasteners”.

For diesel engines, a seven-digit system of numbering the assembly units and parts is adopted. The number consists of the following elements:

- The first digits to the left of the hyphen designate the model of the engine, on which the respective part was used first;

- The first two digits after the hyphen designate the group number;

- The second two digits designate the subgroup number;

- The last three digits designate the sequence number of the part;

- The letters and digits to the right of them designate the modification and version of the assembly unit or part.

For example:

245-1002015- 2-13 – cylinder block.

10: group number

02: subgroup number

015: part number

The diesel engine is completed with purchased assembly units and parts. They include the fuel pump, injector, electric equipment, etc. These assembly units and parts are designated so as it is adopted at the manufacturer’s works.

Due to continual improvement of the engine in part of individual assembly units and parts, some modifications not reflected in this Catalogue may be made.
