A MESSAGE FROM MINISTER ANDY WILLIAMS Listening first. Building together.
“St. George South is one of Grenada’s most active economic centres, home to major tourism, education, business and national infrastructure. Yet residents were clear: growth must translate into safer communities, stronger services, better opportunities, and a higher quality of life for the people who live here.” ANDY WILLIAMS MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR ST.GEORGE SOUTH
The People’s manifesto - St. George South

Dear Residents of St. George South, this manifesto belongs to you. During the People’s Manifesto listening exercise, residents across Belmont, Springs, Woburn, Calivigny, Morne Toute, Calliste, Grand Anse, and other communities spoke openly about the future of St. George South. You shared your concerns, ideas, frustrations and hopes — and trusted us with your vision for the constituency you want your children to inherit. St. George South is one of Grenada’s most active economic centres, home to major tourism, education, business and national infrastructure. Yet residents were clear: growth must translate into safer communities, stronger services, better opportunities, and a higher quality of life for the people who live here. This manifesto brings those voices together in a clear four-year programme of action. It is not simply a document written for the people of St. George South; it is a plan shaped with them. The commitments that follow are organised around seven pillars: safe and resilient communities; strong communities and social protection; education, skills and youth opportunity; health and wellness; jobs, enterprise and the cost of living; tourism, culture, environment and heritage; and a well-planned, future-ready South. Our work does not end with publication. Progress must be visible, residents must remain part of the conversation, and commitments must be measured against what is actually delivered. Together, let us build a St. George South where opportunity reaches every community and development improves the lives of the people who call the South home.
Yours in service, Andy Williams

OUR VISION FOR ST. GEORGE SOUTH Our vision is to build a safe, connected, caring, productive and sustainable St. George South—a constituency where communities have the facilities and services they need, children have opportunities to learn and develop their talents, young people can acquire skills and find meaningful work, families can access decent housing, seniors can age with dignity, and our natural, cultural and historic assets are protected and developed. The People’s Manifesto listening exercise engaged 212 residents across 10 sessions and captured 241 priorities. The recommendations have been consolidated into seven pillars so that the concerns raised by residents can be translated into a clear four-year programme of action.

TRACKING OUR PROGRESS A LIVING DOCUMENT, NOT A LAUNCH-DAY ONE. A PLAN ONLY MATTERS IF PEOPLE CAN SEE WHAT IS BEING DELIVERED.
The People’s Manifesto will not end with its publication. It will be used as a working document to track the commitments made to your community over the next five years. Progress will be reviewed against the priorities identified in the manifesto, with updates showing what has been completed, what is underway, and what still requires attention. THIS WILL GIVE RESIDENTS A CLEAR WAY TO FOLLOW THE WORK, SEE HOW PRIORITIES ARE ADVANCING, AND UNDERSTAND WHERE PROGRESS IS BEING MADE.
Online Progress Tracker
Annual Community Review
A dedicated website will list the commitments in the manifesto and show the status of each one — including what has been completed, what is in progress, and what is still to come
Each year, we will return to the community to review progress, discuss what has been delivered, and hear directly from residents on what still needs attention.
