We will be kicking off the new year supporting Angus Youth with a team of cattle attending the Angus Youth Roundup.
Thomas, together with Charlie, Liv and Briana, will be showing three heifers and one bull. In support of Angus Youth, we are the shirt sponsor and will have a trade stand at the event.

In 2025, we held our very first Auction Sale, and in 2026, we will be holding two Auctions!
The first will be the Second Edition of our Killain Angus World Class Female and Genetics Sale on Thursday, 12 March, 2026. The second will be the Killain Angus Performance Bull Sale on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
In 2026, Killain Angus will also attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show and Melbourne Royal Show. We love showcasing our herd and find this is a perfect way to introduce our latest genetics.
What a year 2025 was for the Angus Breed as a whole, with the World Angus Forum and AngusEXPO in our hometown of Tamworth.
We were humbled by the number of visitors to our trade stand, and by the number of International and Australian visitors who came to see us. We had over 80 visitors to Killain Angus before, during and after the AngusEXPO.
We held our very first Auction sale in March and were thrilled with the results, with both new and existing clients purchasing. Thank you to everyone who has purchased bulls, heifers, embryos and semen in the past year. We love to hear how our genetics are working for
you. Also, thank you to everyone who has shown interest in our program. If there is anything you would like more information on, we are only ever a phone call away.

We have some very exciting joining’s with proven sires including, Baldridge Badger, SAV America 8018, SAV Rise N Shine 2709, SAV Grand Canyon 0969, as well as our very own Killain Power Play S6 (breeding the house down) and Killain Prolific U62 (a proven heifer bull with early, explosive growth).
With our very first SAV Courage 3003 calves are on the way!
Of course, none of what we do would be possible with the fantastic team behind Killain Angus.
Ben is based and runs the King Island properties, with Thomas based at Tamworth helping run the Killain Angus Stud herd. When not in Brisbane playing rugby. Richard and Susie move between both operations; it is all hands-on deck. Still, none of this would be possible without the entire team, including Lachie (Killain Angus), David and Rod (Duddy Pastoral), and Luke and Sammi (Royal Shows and Sales).
There are many cogs in the wheel, and we thank you all very sincerely for your contributions throughout 2025.
Introducing SAV Gravity 4118, the $240,000 dominant son of SAV Glory Days 1832 at the 2025 Schaff Angus Valley Sale, has semen on its way to Australia. Gravity balances phenotype, performance and maternal quality and is sure to follow the legends in his pedigree.
A standout since birth, Gravity had a 205-day weight of 1030lbs and a weaning ratio of 113.
His dam, SAV Emblynette 9813, a frontpasture donor, is moderate and maternal, with impeccable udder quality.
She is the #1 marbling female of her calf crop, earning an IMF ratio of 167, and records a weaning ratio of 106 on three calves and progeny IMF ratio of 182, and is a flush sister to the $250,000 USD SAV Bloodline 9578.

KILLAIN ANGUS
WORLD CLASS FEMALE AND GENETICS SALE
We will be holding the Second Edition of our World Class Female and Genetics Sale at Killain Angus on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
We will be offering PTIC V Stud Heifers, PTIC recipients, our latest IVF embryos, semen and 140 PTIC Angus Commercial Heifers from the heart of our King Island herd.
Catalogue compilation is well underway, and we are very excited about the lineup, including several daughters of Baldridge Badger. Recipients will be carrying progeny of both Baldridge Badger and SAV Courage 3003.
Embryos will include our very latest joining’s many of which we already have on the way, so you will be right at the cutting edge of our breeding program.
The commercial PTIC Angus heifers will be in calf to Killain Angus Stud bulls and we will offer semen from Killain Prolific U62 to the purchasers of the commercial heifers, based on the number of heifers purchased.

We will be holding an Open Day before the Bull Sale, so keep an eye on our social media and website for details.

KILLAIN ANGUS PERFORMANCE BULL SALE

We have always sold our bulls privately in the paddock, but this year we will be offering our bulls through an Auction Sale for the first time on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.
Bulls on offer will include both 2-year-olds and Yearling Bulls sired by Baldridge Badger, SAV Grand Canyon 0969, SAV Rise N Shine 2709, SAV Anthem 0042, Ellingson Prolific, Killain Power Play S6 and Killain Prolific U62.
Importantly, the Killain Angus Stud herd is fully genomics-tested and 100% free of all recessive traits.
