OUR STORY When Angie Hester met Robbie Cook, neither guessed their relationship would eventually lead to running a successful business together. The Cooks created their first innovative product for the gift industry in 2005, and the brand has since grown in ways Angie and Robbie could only imagine. The dreams that inspired the birth of Hester & Cook in 2005 are still running through the veins of the company today. Not only has the H&C team grown over the years, but the desires that drive us have as well: to bring beautiful products to market; to be a part of your important moments; to empower and inspire people to set a gorgeous table, to give the perfect gift, send a thoughtful note; and to take great care of our customers along the way. Angie and Robbie lead their teams with grace, gratitude and vision that inspire us all to keep creating and serving you. We love what we do. Our products are designed in Nashville, TN, and we are proud to say that most of them are even produced right here in the USA. When you contact us, you reach our small team of dedicated staff who are excited to give you uncommonly great service. We also believe in making positive impacts everywhere we can, and part of that means charitable giving. A portion of all our sales benefits the Wonderful Life Foundation. FALL FAVORITES Thanksgiving isn’t the only fall gathering you’ll need a table for! Whether tailgating with our Football Collection or dressing up a costume party, our paper goods can elevate your autumnal affairs in a variety of ways. Runners can serve as festive backdrops for a photobooth or buffet, and placemats can serve double duty as both decor and snack containers.
how to make a Snack Cone Perfect for corralling snacks at your next fall gathering, be it a football fete or a spooky soiree! MATERIALS NEEDED paper, scissors, tape CUT YOUR PAPER: cut paper into squares, and then cut the
squares in half diagonally to form triangles. If using H&C Paper Placemats, cut in half first to make it easier to make squares— and you’ll get 4 cones per placemat sheet!

MAKE THE CONE: position your triangle with the squared side pointing down. Roll the two corners behind until the straight sides line up. Tape along the seam to hold your cone together.

GIVE THANKS Our latest additions to the H&C Thanksgiving Collection offer a range of gorgeous golds, warm oranges, and rich browns to (pumpkin) spice up your fall tables. A homemade pecan pie is the perfect final touch to any autumn get together!
how to make Pecan Pie This Southern staple is a welcome addition to any gathering! INGREDIENTS 2 cups pecan halves & pieces 1 cup dark corn syrup ¾ cup brown sugar 3 eggs ½ tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract ½ stick unsalted butter (4 TB), melted, plus more for greasing pan 9” pie crust, homemade or store bought bonus: 3 TB bourbon
PREP: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 9” pie dish with extra butter. CRUST: Roll out crust into pie dish, making sure to go up the sides of the dish evenly. Use a fork or your fingers to flute the edge of your crust. Place in the fridge to rest while you make the filling. MIX: In a mixing bowl, combine all remaining ingredients except the pecans, whisking until smooth.
FILL: Remove crust from fridge, and scatter pecans over your crust. BAKE: Pour filling mixture on top of pecans, then bake for 45 - 55 minutes, or until pie is puffed and mostly set (still a little jiggle in the center). Allow to cool before cutting.

how to keep Flowers Fresh Here are some of our tried-and-true tips for keeping your centerpiece bouquets looking their best
TRIM 1”-2” off bottom of your stems. Be sure you cut at an angle to help with water intake! REMOVE any leaves below the water line. CLEAN and sterilize your vase. Avoiding the growth of bacteria is the key to a long-lasting arrangement.
ADD a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of sugar to the water. CHANGE water completely every 2 to 3 days after cleaning your vase and retrimming the stems. REFRIGERATE flowers overnight. Putting your arrangement in the fridge before bed is the best way to keep your blooms looking great and lasting longer.

how to make The Sweetbriar The H&C Signature Cocktail is perfect for holiday get togethers INGREDIENTS 1 shot (1 oz) bourbon* 6 oz sweet tea 2 orange wedges Garnish options: frozen cranberries cinnamon sticks FILL an 8 oz. rocks glass with ice POUR bourbon over ice TOP off with sweet tea SQUEEZE one wedge of orange into glass GARNISH with the additional orange wedge, and add cranberries or a cinnamon stick for some festive flair!

MEET THE ORNAMENTS This new addition to our Nostalgic Christmas collection features colorful artwork based on children’s book illustrations from the 1950s. Our creative director is a regular at local estate sales, so we had plenty of retro Christmas goods to inspire us and help imbue a nostalgic quality to our latest tableware and gift options.
how to make Paper Bows These instructions are for a finished bow measuring approximately 6” x 5”, but can easily be scaled up or down depending on the size of your present. Let’s get festive! MATERIALS NEEDED
H&C runners or placemats, scissors, tape CUT YOUR PIECES: measure and cut the following sized pieces from your paper:
one 13” x 3” piece (for the loops) two 5“ x 2” pieces (for the tails) one 1.25” x 4.5” piece (for your center) MAKE YOUR LOOPS: bring the two short ends of the loop piece together,
pattern side out, and tape to create a circle. Gently fold this piece in half, and cut two triangular notches from the top and bottom. Unfold loop and turn so taped side is on the back.

MAKE YOUR CENTER: wrap your center piece (pattern side
out) around the middle of your loop, covering the notches. Tape this piece closed around your loop on the back side. MAKE YOUR TAILS: fold each tail piece in half lengthwise, then cut diagonally up from the corner to the fold on each. Unfold to reveal a V-cut end on each tail piece.

ASSEMBLY: angle your 2 end pieces and tape to the back side of your center piece. Congratulations; you now have a gorgeous paper bow for gifting!

While most people can empathize with the emotional struggles of caring for a child with a life-threatening diagnosis, the overwhelming financial burdens faced are frequently overlooked. These families often teeter on the brink of financial collapse due to mounting expenses paired with increased time away from work. Treatment, prescription, and travel costs can quickly consume a family’s budget. The Wonderful Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by Angie and Robbie Cook, offers direct assistance to families experiencing financial hardship in conjunction with life-threatening illnesses. Hester & Cook donates a portion of all sales to the foundation, and we are committed to supporting families with children affected by cancer and other serious conditions.
