Words from Our CEO First of all, congratulations to all of you who have together made the 2022 HESS International Annual English Competence Competition such a success. I am very proud of all the participants for your excellent performance. Last week, I was invited to attend a great seminar at which the speaker was Jim Collins, an international master of management, whose most famous book is "From A to A+". He mentioned that for a leader, for a team, or for a person, there are two very important things in the pursuit of excellence: the first one is "discipline", the second is "endurance". Today, all the students who participated in the competition have demonstrated these two important qualities during the competition and deserve the greatest recognition.
I remember a business trip to one of our Tainan branches more than ten years ago, when I saw a teacher leading students to practice for the competition at an intersection. The students were practicing their speeches seriously and loudly in front of the main street, in the midst of the traffic and pedestrians, developing the courage to face strangers. That image still sticks with me today. I couldn't help but admire them, "What a serious and dedicated teacher!" and "What amazing students!" This attitude and dedication has been replicated and passed on to many branches over the past ten years through the exchange of experiences and sharing. It becomes the most beautiful cycle. I would also like to thank all the parents for their recognition and support. It takes a lot of wisdom and courage to stand by your child through all the tests, but you have done a great job! “Challenge yourself to be the best you can be!” is not only the spirit we want to convey in our activities and programs, but it can also be an encouragement and expectation in life. Lastly, I would like to thank all the judges and organizers for their hard work and dedication in making the event better and better every year. Let's continue to move forward in this spirit and pursue excellence together! Keep up the good work! Keep challenging yourself to be the best you can be!

首先恭喜大家，共同成就了 2022 年第十屆何嘉仁國際英語力大賽。看到所有學員們精采的
表現，我以大家為榮。
上周應邀參加了一場很棒的座談會，講者是國際級管理大師 Jim Collins。他最有名的著作
是《從 A 到 A+》，講座裡提到，對一個領導者或對團隊或對於一個人來說，要追求卓越有二件非
常重要的事情，第一個是「紀律 Discipline」。第二是「耐力 Endurance」。今天在場所有參與比 賽的同學，在這次比賽過程中，所展現的也就是這二項重要的精神，值得給予最大的肯定。
還記得十幾年前有一回出差到台南的分校，正好看到老師帶著參加比賽的學員在路口練習，
學生對著大馬路認真大聲的練習演講，就在車流與行人穿梭中，培養面對陌生人演說的膽識，那
畫面至今仍印象深刻。心中不由得讚嘆「好認真用心的老師」與「好了不起的學員」！而這樣的態度 與用心，十多年來透過大家的經驗交流與傳承分享，複製並傳遍許多分校！形成最美好的循環。
在此，也要誠摯感謝所有家長的肯定與支持，要一路陪伴孩子面對層層考驗，這需要相當的
智慧與勇氣，但家長您做到了，真的非常了不起！「挑戰最好的自己！」不只是我們在活動或課程 中想要傳達的精神，它更可以是人生的惕勵與期許。

2022 HESS International Annual English Competence Competition 第十屆何嘉仁國際英語力大賽簡介
Develop excellent, comprehensive English skills
As English listening tests become essential for university and high school examinations, the ability to listen and speak English is very important. Languages only become effective when you know how to use them
fluently. In addition to professional teaching standards, through activities and competitions, we are able to provide a good learning environment for our students. Our aim is to develop elite international students.
Speech Competition
The speech competition is a lot more behind to give a good speech. Students have to write the speech, they
have brainstorm the ideas and they have to think of the logical way to deliver their messages. To ensure fairness and better match students’ English ability, the Speech competition will be split into two categories, Speech Competition A and Speech Competition B. ・ Speech Competition A
Students will be given a list of six statements – two about the environment, two about technology, and
two about everyday life. They will pick the one they think is the most interesting, and deliver a threeminute speech explaining why they agree or disagree with the statement.
・ Speech Competition B
This year’s topic is ‘A Much-Needed Invention’. Students needed to think of an invention that can improve their own lives, the lives of other people, or even save the whole world. They will explain what their invention is, and how it will make the world a better place to live.

隨著大學入學考試及國中會考陸續將英文聽力測驗納入成績計算，英語聽說能力已成為新世代重要的能力指標。
｢ 語言，懂得活用才有力量 ｣，英語力的養成，除了透過專業教師靈活的授課外，透過活動或競賽，更可以全方 位建構學員聽說讀寫完整的實力，並培養面對挑戰的勇氣。何嘉仁專業教學團隊，為學員精心規劃多元的課程與 活動，期許培養更多新世代的國際菁英！
英文演說比賽
提升學生文章撰寫架構、寫作和組織能力，並增強英語發音、語調、自信和公眾演說技巧。比賽依照學員的學習 級數以及年齡，分成兩組：英文演說比賽 A 組和英文演說比賽 B 組。 ・ 英文演說比賽 A 組
此階段有三個主題，自然、科技、生活。每個主題各有兩個議題，總共為六個議題。學生將從這些議題中選 出最感興趣的一個，在三分鐘內表達贊同或反對的立場，並陳述論點。
・ 英文演說比賽 B 組
今年的演說主題是 A Much-Needed Invention。學生需要發揮創意和思考力，想像自己將發明一項東西來改 善自己或是其他人的生活，甚至是改變世界。不論發明的項目及內容是什麼，都需要強調為什麼想要有此發 明 以及這個發明如何幫助人們過得更好。

David, teacher Alina and teacher Dorry. And specially, I want to say thank you to my first English teacher since I was in kindergarten until now, thank you teacher EVA. And of course my Mom and Dad, they always help me a lot, too! I am so happy for having this chance to join the competition. I think
it is a good chance for me and everyone to demonstrate your English ability. It is a little hard, but I

First, I will like to thank my dad and mom, also all my teachers and the friends and family who has supported and cheered for me on the way. I’d also like to thank the clerk in Hi-Life, he/she let me practice my speech both inside and outside of the store. They helped me accomplish this moment. Then, I would like to say to the students who haven’t got a good result in the speech contest. Just like the host at the contest said” It doesn’t matter what the result is, if you learned something you are all winners.”

Thank you for holding the Competence Competition championship event annually. It is such a great event for kids and Chichi. This year is Chichi’s 3rd participation. We are not only happy that Chichi gets the great result this year but also see his speech improvement over the years! We would like to take the chance to appreciate Tr. Ivy and Richard time and efforts to practice story telling with him and listen to his speeches over and over. Gradually adjust his intonations and gestures, which make him professional on the stage! By doing this, I believe Chichi is getting the tricks and brave to speak in public and I think this also applies to other kids no matter the result is good or not. They would definitely be the winners! And Stage belongs to them! Last, good job, Chichi! We are so proud of you!

The competition is a really nice chance to help the students build up their speech ability, creativity, critical thinking and confidence. We can see them growing up gradually. Each one of them has become a more mature person through the process. They encouraged their friends when they said something wrong or forgot about their sentences. They cheered for their friends when they did a wonderful speech or thought of a great story for storytelling. I am SO proud of them! In my opinion, they all are the winners. It is my honor and pleasure to teach them for the speech competition this year. Especially Chichi! Super proud of you!! The experience that we practiced outside the branch was quite fun and helpful! I think I was able to get third place in the HESS speech competition because of my amazing
teacher, Teacher Selina. She took her own time to help me improve my speech and my storytelling, so I could excel in the competition. Also, my parents helped me practice. I am very thankful to my teacher and my parents, as they helped me so much throughout this competition. I appreciate them for how they gave me courage and built confidence in me, making me better and better in not just
this competition, but as an English speaker. Next year, I believe if I practice more, I could even get first place!

還記得孩子剛開決定要參加這個比賽的時候，孩子自己本身也是緊張
的。但隨著課堂的時間過去，那 Victoria 也一步步的照著自己的進度，然
後不斷的練習演講內容，不斷修正自己的語速，流暢度與時間的掌握。再
經過分校賽、區域賽的洗滌，再到總決賽。我感覺得出來，她一次次都來 得更緊張一些，但在賽前，孩子看英文小說來緩和自己緊張的情緒。上臺
之後，竟能穩穩的自然地去講述自己要表達的東西。這個年紀的孩子來說，
有這樣的穩定度是非常不容易的事情。從這一個比賽當中，我看到了孩子帶著一顆平常心的不斷的努力與 成長，很榮幸能夠跟她一起參與這個過程。

This year is the tenth annual ECC speech competition. Everyone looked confident, so I knew they all had been preparing for a long time. Even though, some people forgot some parts of their speech. Most of them did an amazing job. This time is, my third time participating, I didn’t want to do it. But my mom gave me the confidence to do it, and I got to the area competition. Though, I tried my best, I still failed. After a lot of experience, this time, I got to the finals. I hope people who joins the next competition will have the same confidence and perform as amazing as you can. Don’t give up! If you fail once, you can always try again!

First of all, I’d like to thank my teachers. They all spent a lot of their time helping me get ready for my speech. They put in a lot of effort to support me. Of course, I need to thank my parents too, who always give me so much encouragement. It was my second time joining the competition, but unfortunately I didn’t make it into the top three. Although I didn’t win the championship, I’ve gained more experience and I believe I’ve improved so much. I’ve realized that the more effort you put into something, the better result you will get. I’ve also learned that I need to try my best in everything I do. You reap what you sow. With hard work, you will get better every day, so it’s important not to give up. Nobody can be successful every time, but as long as you can learn lessons from your failures, it will be worthwhile. So, try your best, and be your own super star!

Making it to the finals of the speech contest is very difficult. Making
it to the finals two years in a row is something truly impressive. I helped coach Queena both of the past two years and I have watched her grow and become more confident. I’m proud of what Queena accomplished, and I know that the hard work she put into her speeches will aid her on her language-learning journey. And I think that the confidence she has built up will help her in every other aspect of her life too.

At first, I thought the speech class was fun, but after 4-5 weeks, it became so hard that I even cried. But when the speech contest was coming, I felt excited because I was hoping that I could get a good grade! By the point I knew that I passed the semifinals, I was so happy, excited, and also pretty nervous. I am grateful that I had the chance to enter the final contest. Even though I didn’t get a good grade, I still thank my teacher, mom, and me. Thank my teacher for teaching me a lot, my mom for always encouraging me not to give up, and myself for never letting the challenges beat me.

I am very proud of all that Derrick has achieved over the last semester and even though I only began teaching him eight months ago, he has accomplished so much since then. The speech class is always difficult, both for the teacher and the students. It is a demanding process and I am always left impressed by students that excel in it. Derrick has shown that not only can he excel in Speech Class, but he also comes out of it with such a positive attitude. I look forward to seeing how far he can go in the future. I hope he can bring his bright and energetic presence to many audiences to come.

這已經不是我第一次參加這個比賽了，上一次止步於複賽，心裡充滿不甘，覺得自己還能更好。這 次也是一樣，雖然晉級全國賽，但還是沒有得名，儘管如此，我在這期間也學到很多。我認為演講比賽的 樂趣不只有在台上的演出和勝利，同時還有交朋友，雖然不可置信，但我在比賽期間交到了不少朋友。我 們在對方身上看到優點並學習，共同成長，在緊張的比賽前夕，互相加油打氣。從最初的練習，到全國賽 的結尾，我也有許多想感謝的人，我的老師 Tr. Maria 就是其中一個。感謝老師，一直孜孜不倦的教導我， 陪我練習，讓我從當初不敢在人群前大方表現的女孩，變成能侃侃而談、不會怯場的演說選手。可惜這已 經是我最後一年比賽，但未來我也要繼續精進自己，讓自己變得更好。

I am so proud of how far Lily has come, and what she accomplished. Lily worked so hard to make the speech her own, from researching and writing it to the moment when she was standing on the stage to perform
it. She came out of her shell to express herself and be a more dynamic speaker. Her creativity has expanded greatly, as well as her ability to think on her feet and react quickly. When you meet new children in kindergarten, you never know the road you’ll find yourself traveling with them in the future or if you’ll even have a future with them at all. It has been a real pleasure watching Anthea grow from a little Middle Class student with an attitude into a confident young adult testing herself in all that she does. After years and years of hard efforts with the various students during the annual speech class, it was validating to finally have a student make it all the way to the finals. Regardless of how she placed in the final competition, Anthea will always be a star student to me and her effort gives me confidence in her ability to tackle any challenges she will come to face in her life. Education is not filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire. First of all, I’m very grateful to HESS for holding the speech contest that lets me learn English in more diverse ways. I’m also grateful to my teachers for teaching me patiently, and that’s why I could stand on the stage. 因為參加了英語力的演講比賽，讓我了解如何在台上自信地展現自己。透過不斷地練習，不僅在英 文上有進步，在表達方面也變得更清楚。 去年其實也有過比賽的經驗，那是我第一次參加比賽。初生之犢不畏虎，我信心滿滿地覺得自己會 是那唯一之選，殊不知僅拿到區域決賽的第三名。雖然前三名也是不錯的佳績，但對於自己的期許總是高 一些。事後想想，也許有些地方是需要調整的，像是動作不要太浮誇、自然一些會更好等等。 經過一年的沈澱，我想了許多關於『演講』這件事。能夠讓多數人坐在台下聆聽自己的想法並支持它， 想想真的不容易。今年我有針對一些點去做加強，才得以讓自己有機會到決賽舞台和更多區域的箇中高手 交流。如果再來一次，我想我還是會選擇參加，讓自己再挑戰更好的自己。另外我也很感謝老師們的協助！ 感謝大家的支持和指導。

Hailey 是我遇過最有目標的選手。從去年的一名驚人到今年的沈穩，她 的成長是分校老師們有目共睹的。很少有選手會願意去檢視自己的參賽過程， 再去做調整，我想這個是大部分孩子可以學習的。很開心能在決賽舞台看到 Hailey 自信地綻放光芒，將自己平時累積的能量散發給在台下及欣賞直播的 觀眾們。感謝 Hailey 為自己努力，感謝 Hailey 家長的用心，感謝何嘉仁的 團隊規劃那麼好的舞台給孩子們！

I have learned a lot of things during the competition. At first, I didn’t want to join the competition because I am not good at giving speeches. However, my parents encouraged me to give it a try. So I did it! When I was on the stage, I was really nervous. I couldn’t focus because there were too many people looking at me. I think I could have done it better. After the competition, I was sad. I was sad because I wanted to win and be better! It was a good experience because now I know how to perform on the stage. I also want to thank my family, teachers, and friends who helped me along the way. Next time, I won’t be as nervous as I was last time. I will continue practicing and be the best.

I was very excited to be the teacher at our branch for the speech competition. I had watched my fellow NST’s teach the class in the past, and had always wanted to try myself. Yvonne worked very hard the entire six weeks on her speech, not only writing her speech, but also practicing presenting it as well as practicing the storytelling portion. I am extremely proud of all my students, and especially of Yvonne since she was able to make it so far in the competition. I think the speech competition is a great extracurricular activity and I hope to see more of my students participate in the future!

I want to thank all Hougang Branch’s teachers very much. They gave me a lot of encouragement and advice. Therefore, I have more confidence to face all the difficulties and challenges. Next, I would like to thank my instructors because they worked hard to teach me the tips how to get improved. They were busy, but they still spent a lot of time helping me. No matter how tired or struggling I was, I still followed my heart. Last, I want to say, I am super grateful for Mom and Dad because they gave me this great opportunity to prove myself, and I am now more courageous and I am all ready for all the coming challenges in my life. I had started practicing for the ECC speech since October . Teacher Herbert took a lot of his free time to help me. My mom reminded me of my speech, too. During that time, I still practiced my speech and tried to do my best. After the results were announced, my family and teachers were glad that I got second place in the ECC speech. I am happy that they are proud of me. I wanted to thank my mom because she said, “ English is very important.”, and she let me learn English at HESS. I want to thank teacher Herbert, too. He has been my teacher for three years, and he always encourages me. Thanks a lot!

的成績。
這一路走來的過程雖然很辛苦，但果實是甜美的。非常感謝 Tr.Roelien, Oliver, Wendy 及分校裡的其它

We are so incredibly proud of Ryan for all that he has achieved! Ryan is a student who constantly likes to challenge himself and when the opportunity to enter the Speech Competition arose, he took it head on! He worked very hard and every time he took the stage, he surprised us all. My biggest piece of advice to him was to just have fun, because if you are having fun everyone else will enjoy your speech even more. This was an opportunity for him to not only challenge himself but also grow his self confidence and he did an outstanding job! My name is Avery. It's my 2nd time to try it. First, I need to thank the teachers that taught me before. They taught me lots of knowledge. Next, I need to thank the teachers that helped me practice and taught me how to write a speech. Teacher Angela, Teacher Julie Jo, Teacher Amy and Teacher Julianna. Last, I need to thank my mom and dad. They helped me practice a lot, too. I think this is a good chance to speak English on stage. Last time I lost in the rematch. I felt so depressed. This time I went to Taipei because lots of teacher helped me practice, so my English became better. My teacher told me, "It's OK that you didn't win the competition. You win lots of people that didn't join it. Don't be nervous when you're on the stage, you can think that the judges are your friends or you really introduce your creative or idea, and just be your own super stars!"

Avery is an excellent student, he tries really hard and spends lots of time practicing. He is very nervous in the beginning because he isn’t really confident. When we’re practicing, I tell him don’t be nervous just try his best. For speech, he adds lots of gesture by himself and his idea of his invention-air backpack is really creative. For picture pose, we have a hard time practicing at first. Because Avery doesn’t have so much idea about the picture so we change another way to practice. After we try new way and try a lot, he gets better. He spends lots of time at school and at home practicing picture pose. Then he really improves a lot. I’m so proud of him. I hope he can keep trying in the future!

This is the second time I competed in the ECC speech contest. On the first attempt, I got to the semi-final and, at the time, was quite satisfied with that result even though I never made it to the final. This time, I knew that if I kept this way of thinking, I wouldn’t make it all the way, so I was utterly ruthless in my determination to be “number one”. Although in the very end, my name didn’t make it to the top of the list, I’m sort of relieved now, because I know that I tried my very best to do my speech as well as I possibly could have. So, I am really glad that I made it to the final and got to experience it for the first time.

Over the few months we practiced together, it wasn’t hard to tell that Kimberley is a natural. All of the ideas, gestures and expressions for her speech were all her own doing and came to her of her own accord with little input from anyone else; though it does need to be expressed under supervision, otherwise she might just come up with a brand-new story, such is her imagination and creativity. It isn’t me that made her this way. She had already had most of the things that she needed for the competition before she signed up. All I did was simply give her some guidance and ensured that she had enough practice. Although she didn’t win the first prize for the speech contest, she has already proven that she is the best.

I have practiced a lot this semester and have learned a lot from my teachers. I’ve had many challenges throughout this process and have been so surprised with myself and happy with what I’ve been able to overcome! The speech final was the first time I performed in front of such a big audience. I tried my best but unfortunately didn’t win! However, i enjoyed the experience and have a lot to learn from it. Even though I did not win, I gave great effort and know that it is about the process. I know that to be successful takes great effort, hard work, and more experience. I hope I can stand on the big stage again next year!

Elsa is a brilliant student that not only works hard but loves to learn. Through her speech practice and training she was eager and willing to make improvements to give the best speech she could. Every time we would go over the speech she would really listen to my recommendations and would instantly make the changes. That level of dedication is what is really special about Elsa. I look forward to seeing her next year in the speech competition with the same level of drive and willingness to get better! Maggie，他們教我寫講稿和肢體表達，再來是爸爸和媽 媽，他們幫我複習。在小區賽的時候，我每次都在逃避，但爸爸、媽媽都在鼓勵我，他們也說把比賽當成 表演，你想怎樣就怎樣，有老師和家人的鼓勵，我才能晉級總決賽。 決賽前的每次練習，我真的非常不想練，因為有家人的堅持，我才能站在舞台上。在比賽時 A 組先， 有些人很厲害，有些人一般般，當換成 B 組時，我非常驚訝，B 組的實力不相上下，我當時想如果照平常 一樣的話，我會輸！所以換我上台時我又加強我的演說，最後雖然沒有得獎，但我給自己鼓掌，我有把這 個事情完成，之前覺得這個舞台遙不可及，現在卻站在這舞台上，我很開心和感動。

We’re honored to have had the experience of teaching the ECC class and to have coached Allen through to the nationals. Despite not being lucky enough to have been chosen for recognition for his talent, in our eyes, we know that he is the most talented and most energetic contestant. The video footage is proof enough for us that his future will be as outstanding as his pronunciation and performance; one that will shine forever in our memories. We have all walked away from this having learned so much, not only about how this competition works, but also that the only true rewards is having been hand in shaping the champions of the future. I am very happy to participate in the Hess English Speech Competition this year. It was not only fun but also let me learn a lot. I had spent a lot of time preparing and practicing for this speech competition. On the finals, I saw a lot of elite contestants. I learned a lot from them and also knew how to improve and strengthen my speech ability. Although I didn’t win any awards this time, it was still an amazing experience that I was presenting my speech in a national competition. I really want to try it again in the future.

It’s our pleasure to be Belle’s teacher this year. This was her first time doing speech in ECC, but she performed so well just like an experienced contestant. In the beginning, Belle enjoyed creating the story, so we had a very good start. She had faced some difficult moments while practicing. She took advises and learned from each practice, so she could stand out from the semifinals. All hard works will lead to its result, Belle made her first competition all the way to the national finals. That was really impressive! We also want to thank Belle’s parents for all their support and help. Finally, we want to say “well done” to Belle, and hopefully we can challenge the title again next year!

I’m delighted that I got the tickets to the final speech competition. I faced two challenges. First, expressing my thoughts fluently and clearly in English. And giving the speech in public. I have to say that practice makes perfect. Thanks to my teachers, who gave me lots of chances to practice in front of different classes. The other challenge was time control. That made me feel super depressed at first. My mom encouraged me a lot and told me, “don’t stress, and take it easy.” And finally, I did it. Thank you, Mom! Lastly, I would like to say I have gained a lot of confidence, and overcame the anxiety of speaking in public from this memorable experience. Thanks to all of the help and encouragement from my parents, teachers and peers.

It’s an unforgetable experience for me as a teacher to teach the speech class this year. Sydney is an outstanding student. She put her heart into writing, learning and practicing her speech. Public speaking isn’t easy and it’s even harder in a second language for students. Sydney even presented her speech in front of parents which was really intimidating but she was very brave. I hope that students can walk away from speech class a little more confident in their abilities and proud of themselves for taking on such a big challenge. I believe that they can learn some very valuable life skills and strengthen their characters. Hopefully these lessons will serve them later on in life at school, university and beyond.

這次參加何嘉仁英語演講比賽，我以為不會通過區域賽進入到全國賽，因為參賽者很多，而且很多參 賽者表現得也很好，沒有想到我竟然有機會代表基隆羅東宜蘭三個縣市去參加全國比賽，這一次演說比賽 就成為我人生中第一個全國賽 ! 對於這次的全國英語演說比賽，雖然沒有拿到前 3 名，也沒有拿到特別獎，但我十分高興，因為能到 參加全國性比賽已經夠好了，所以我沒有因為沒得名次而感到傷心。 為了這次的全國賽，我的指導老師 Teacher Nick 和爸媽都在賽前幫我努力練習，所以我要感謝他們 能支持我到全國賽，雖然在比賽演說時沒有表現得很好，但我覺得堅持是在遇到困境時也要有的態度，所 以就算遇到演說卡住，也要堅持到底 !!!!!!!!

這次比賽相信不管是學生或是老師都是收穫良多，我一直認為結果不 管是甚麼，孩子在準備比賽過程所產生不一樣的學習想法甚至態度，那才是 獨一無二，獎牌獎狀無法取代的，這個比賽讓我體會到教學是雙方面的付 出，而不是老師單方面的炫技去使用很多華麗的文法和字眼，學生真誠地用 自己的語言和方式表達給觀眾和老師那才是重要的，今天我很謝謝我的學生 那麼辛苦的努力準備的比賽也很謝謝家長的配合，希望何嘉仁能夠多舉辦類似讓孩子自信表達自我的舞 台。

在家人和學校老師的支持和鼓勵下，我才決定把握機會去參加英語力演說 B 組的比賽。沒想到，我 在桃園區的比賽中晉級，得到參加全國大賽的機會，我也因此對自己多了一些信心。 我覺得，能參加這個比賽，對我來說是一個全新的學習過程和體驗。在練習的過程中，我漸漸發現 : 其實英語演講比賽並沒有我想像中困難，而是不斷努力練習的成果。能夠得到全國前三名的選手得到評審 的加冕，而沒有得到名次的選手，收穫到的是參賽的經驗 : 比賽最重要的不是贏，而是讓自己累積經驗。 我也很感謝過程中教導我的 Teacher Eva、Teacher Jordan 和 Teacher Nell，謝謝她們對我的肯定和信心。 雖這次比賽我沒有得到前三名，但我「贏」得的是許多人沒有的經驗和回憶，未來我會繼續努力。

I think the most difficult thing isn’t being an excellent teacher, but how to build up children’s language ability and becoming their best company. On my way of leading a competitor, it was really a challenging time. And Kelly also faced the same challenge. It was her first time to stand on the stage for an English speech competition. I could understand how hard it was for her. After a long time practicing ,we finally did it! Thank God for his amazing leading and blessing. I was so blessed to have an outstanding partner, Tr. Jordan. She helped Kelly with making her speech lively and attractive. I hope all of my students could continue practicing and sparing no effort on their English learning.

First, I would like to thank my parents and teachers. They always help and support me, so I can have the opportunity to be on the final stage. This is my first time to join the speech competition, and I’ve learned a lot. My parents always encourage me that the doing is often more important than the outcome. I realize it after this competition, and I will always keep in my mind and try my best in the future.

很開心今年度又有機會可以擔任這次 Speech 的指導老師 ~ Cooper 是 一位非常活潑的孩子，在主題發想時，與我分享了許多的點子，經過溝通後 我們一起選出了最終的主題 ! 這個主題與 Cooper 的努力也讓第一次參賽的 他，進入全國總決賽。孩子的努力，也讓我在 HESS 服務的這幾年有了新的 里程碑，更謝謝這段期間所有協助過的同仁們。期望接下來能繼續帶領著其 它的孩子進入決賽拿下難忘的成績 !
